AV actually protected him said he played so so. He did not. He was not even NHL caliber Monday night. Vesey meanwhile started on 4th line was going all night got promoted and scored game winning goal. So yeah he stays in.

What player in the top 9 should Buchnevich be playing over based off his last few games? No one.

Meanwhile Puempel produces when he's in the lineup is only 2 years older and has sat 4 straight. If Buch is going to play like he did Monday he does not deserve to be in the lineup over Puempel. At least not tonight.

I fail to see how anyone could be upset by this. I'm excited for Puempel to get some ice time he's earned it and played very well for us
People seem to forget that grenade Buchnevich gave to Clendenning a few games ago that everyone blamed Clendenning for the turnover on. People also forget that lazy backhand clear that ended up in the crowd for a delay of game penalty.

Buch can play an extremely lazy game and has seemed to get a pass. Vesey may be struggling offensively, but does not play anywhere as near as lazy as Buch can.

I think those unies were worse than the one's we had those two seasons during I think the 1976 and 1977 seasons where we had the Ranger crest in the middle. I know there are some in here who might have liked them but for me, I hated them.

I got a feeling we are looking at a 6-5 type of game. Nash with two goals and the GWG.
They were from the late 1990's. They were trying to establish a true "Long Island" identity.

Yup. I still think a player should be given a goal credit if it was the Game deciding goal. More pressure on the final shooter.

I'd describe those plays as more enigmatic than lazy

Did I say anything about him being Russian?

I merely stated that he has made lazy plays AT TIMES.

Did you miss the part of my post that referred to his being stuck on the 4th line and that being correlated? It's not really coincidental that his slide in play has resulted with less minutes and lesser linemates.

To my knowledge, the demotion started in Buffalo. That's 6 games ago. Prior that he was scoring around a .8 Pt per Game pace.

Yeah, actually it was from 1995-1997 that they had the Fisherman as I just looked it up. What a **** show decision that was by whoever decided to go away from their traditional one.

Wasn't it done by the criminal who lied about his assets (Spano?) who somehow bought the team and thought playing up the "water" theme would bring people in from Montauk or something?

I just remember it being comedy gold for fans of the team that just won the Cup.

Sean Hartnett ‏@HartnettHockey
According to #NYR HC Vigneault, dman Kevin Klein is dealing w/ an illness and is a game-time decision. Clendening would play if Klein cannot

I love Buch, but he's a kid and hes learning the NHL. As long as this is a one or two game thing to teach him things and let him reset then I'm okay with it. Not worth freaking out over it yet imo.

Totally agree. Imagine if Puemper comes in, impresses and Buchy sent to AHL? May have to get some on here some oxygen masks

Off topic......I think tonight is going to be the MOST PHYSICAL game of the year. Gonna be real chippy, maybe even a fight or 2. How many fighting majors have we had this year? 3?

Rangers 6, Islanders 3. Nash(2), Puempel, Grabs(2), Kreids

Kreider has been benched during games a few times this season. If Buchnevich, Nash, and Zibanejad weren't out with injuries I'm sure Vesey would of sat once or two by now too. Pair that with Buchnevich's back woes this season, remember when he wasn't going to play in back to backs? Maybe there's more to the story than the coach simply hating Buch yada yada yada.
