Maybe if your players don't want to be hit they should stop hitting guys well after the puck is gone.

There have been 3 cheapshots by WPG later than that Malkin hit

Also, so if let's say Justin Schultz headshots 3 players on the Jets this game, it's perfectly acceptable to blindside Crosby again right? Cause I mean that's how it's determined when it's okay to make illegal hits.

The problem is Wheeler realizes his defender in front of the net is Mark Stuart, so Wheeler has to make a play for the puck where subsequently Malkin delivered an illegal hit (in the sense that Malkin received a penalty for the hit).
