Don't believe Sportsnet's Trade Deadline commercial.

That would make for fascinating TV, though I wonder if it wouldn't just be a bunch of old guys sitting there with poker faces. These aren't the kinds of negotiations you want to go through in public.

I used to take Trade deadline day off from work as a Religious Observance... Now it's just too boring to sit through for 5+ Hours. Periodic phone updates will suffice.

Trade deadline's overhyped big time. Don't know why they start coverage so early. Should start it at 12 PM EST. that's when all the big trades start to happen.

They will just talk about the leafs for 3 hours and show footage of Brad Marchand slewfooting a puppy.

I don't remember the last time a deadline was actually busy, 2007, 2008?

Never thought about it before, but this is a cool concept.

Deadlines have become so boring i just wait for the recap in the evening where they discuss potential impact trades if there were any.

It's 12 PM ET. Waiver claims time.

HUGE grab for Montreal, they get Kevin Connauton from Arizona. That's it though folks.

So far one waiver claim and one trade, the Devils dealt Luke Gazdic to Vancouver for Reid Boucher - guess Boucher has to pack again!

Meanwhile, every hockey fan in North America drools slowly and falls flat into their bowl of KD.
