Sergachev took a good wrister on the PP almost scored.

Windsor got caught when the penalty ended and London scored 1:0.

Pu seems to be an effective C at the Junior level... it's pronounced 'poo' isn't it?

I hope Addison wasn't at direct fault on that goal, he got a -1 that I can see on the boxscore.

Yeah it's poo

No, it was not Addison's fault, the shot from the point got blocked and it created a 3on1 the other way with the guy that stepped out from the box.

Still 1:0 after 2 periods. Serg is solid , made a couple good defensive plays, rushed the puck a couple of times took a couple of good shots to the net.

Mete is less visible but he's steady , smart plays , good stick...

Juolevi is nothing special, to be honest... Vande Sompel is the most implicated offensively.

They just said Juolevi played 11:30 after two periods while Serg played 15:45 !

Knights scored again 2:0 , Serg partner on the blue lined screwed up.

Not sure how Vancouver fans feel about him these days... he seems to be a bit inconsistent.

The Spits' coach said in an interview last summer that Sergachev is "very coachable" in that he acknowledges his weak spots without an issue only to work very hard to correct them, awesome that we have CJ instead of MT now. Can't wait til next year.

I mean , he's dominant out there but is this an indication that he's good enough to make the big league? I guess we'll see in October... I have a feeling he will make it.

Mete's stride is INCREDIBLE. If he's indeed making smart plays in his own end and adapts his game to the NHL, I'll feel great about having Sergachev / Juulsen / Mete on the team for years to come.

I haven't seen him play in junior but even today he'd probably be an upgrade over Emelin.

Yeah, probably. 2017 is a write-off as far as I'm concerned, MT scarred this team and CJ needs to break the skin open to fix it. Might as well allow Mikey Monster to have his Memorial Cup experience and make the most of it... a bit of a leadership crash course. Hopeful that he becomes a cross between Malakhov and Markov.

I don't know how these kids will evolve or develop, but I can't deny that I like the prospect pool on D: Sergachev, Juulsen, Mete, and Bourque. I don't know if I'm missing someone out.

London wins it 4:1 with an empty netter.

London's goalie Johnson was spectacular , I think he made 20 saves in the third period.

I would add him in there. A third pairing guy. I've liked what I've seen from him at training camps.

Let's see if Surge (still trying to find a nickname that fits) gets them back on March 4th.

Did Logan Brown generate good offence tonight? I bet he's ****** off too.

I was not really paying attention to him , was focusing more on Serg and Mete. But didn't hear his name a lot during the game...

Alright well how did you rate Mete's mobility as a D, 1 to 10? What about anticipation of incoming offence / mobility to counter offence?

I know this thread is about Surge, but they will meet again in just over a week from now lol.

Mobility? I would give it a 10/10!

It's his best asset, he's an amazing skater...

And he's smart on the ice too, even if he's usually smaller than the opponent he rarely gets beat...

But it's junior hockey, is he going to be able to do the same in the AHL/NHL? I guess we'll have to wait and see how he does as the opponents get bigger and stronger.

Haha it made me think of Lt. Surge, the electric type gym leader, in the old Pokemon game.

Ok so i watched the play but tried to concentrate on away from the puck as well...serge well not impressed. Part of the issue is almost no hits now because of the fighting rules put into place this season. So he didnt show any physicality. Neither did much of the rest of the team. He is an OK skater but not very imprssed. Positionally he did OK mostly to flipping side through the entire game. Hard to do the whole playing both side depending on d partner. Got lots of icetime, but looked bored out there. He is big and that is his biggest asset, skill wise he did not use them much last night(one game sample)

Positives.. Addidson is awesome timmins scored a massive hit with this 7th rounder. Kid plays behind the net, backchecks, all around digger. Think rad combined with gally. Has soft hand and his assist was more the big play while taking a hit to do so. Really really happy with him. Serge didnt stick out much from the other D but addison looked good compared to almost all the other fowards. Good hockey iq, only fault i caught him cheating and waiting a few time in the N zone. Though he did back check a lot otherwise.
This is a bit worrisome coming from someone who actually follows the team instead of mere stat-watch like the rest of us. And even then Sergachev's near ppg pace is literally more than a ppg behind the league leader (who we essentially traded away for Shaw) of that league who has 108 pts in 52 games compared to Sergachev's 38 in 40 lol. With how much bigger he is than the rest of the kids and how well he skates, that is actually pretty average if you ask me.

Yeah , great stat-watching job done by you.

You know Sergachev is a defenseman right? Just checking...

He's 5th in the league among D's for PTS/GP with 0.95, the second place guy is at 1.02...

And he's by far the youngest of the group.
