Baby Pens play that Therrien or Hynes type system still, right? Keep GA low and win close games. Not overly impressed with that or introducing that mindset. I'd like to think they could do better than Sexton's amateur scouting record too, with Amerks GM being the largest role I could stomach for him. Blaine Byron is a PIT college UFA (Maine) they'd be familiar with though and wanted to sign in PIT.

@AmerksHockey - Congrats to former Amerks head coach and Calder Cup champion John Tortorella on being named the 2016-17 Jack Adams Award winner!

Having taken 0 players out of the CHL none of our picks are subject to having to go back twice. If I were to bet I'd say Mittelstadt will be in Rochester after one season in Minnesota. Davidsson has one year left on his contract overseas and we could see him in Rochester after that.

Asplund is also going into the last year of his contract over there. Pu will be eligible after one more year. I'd bet heavy on them trying to sign Borgen out of college after this season too.

Looks like next season could see an influx of top prospects.

This year should be interesting as Guhle and Nylander probably start here along with who of the glut of young wingers that doesn't make the Sabres.
