Sounds like he wanted out. Good riddance then. I liked him for the most part but want no part of a "captain" who doesn't even want to play for the team.

C'mon, we all know this is a super secret spy operation.

He's going to return with Babcock's secret coaching formula. Unless, of course, he falls in love.

After all the games the Sabres gifted him, you think he would appreciate the organization.

Isn't Toronto the one team that Rochester has had some success against this season?

What a mess.

LOL the Derek Grant quote - I knew Grant's problem scoring was the darn stick!

Edit - Heres the full quote - taken from the Amerks Game Recap - “It’s been a while,” said Grant when talking about his goal.
“I switched sticks prior to the third period, so maybe that is something I should have done back in October.
Scoring the goal was good but it is even better to get the win.”

Everyone said they needed to build a team that could beat the Marlies. Apparently Murray didn't understand that the criteria was not narrowed to "only beat the Marlies".

Is there any factual underpinnings to comments re COR? Certainly savings for Sabres/Amerks and he was a UFA. Maybe a favour to him to better showcase himself for an nhl contract next year as Sabres unlikely to resign a one way deal with him again? Anybody know for sure?
