Exactly, he wants players who can hold on to the puck and win board battles. Big part of playing in the NHL today.

These TSN interviews post trade are almost in bad taste. Like seriously give the guy a chance to get his bearings before calling him?

Pretty good playoffs numbers too, all things considered.

Dude, they have 68 3rd/4th liners. This is the last thing they needed.

All these "playoff beasts" come from deep teams where they can exploit softer matchups. Expecting grinders to repeat playoff heroics on a team where the opposition can actually defend them is not a winning strategy.

I'm perfectly fine with this move, King is an actual upgrade, but it makes the Ott move even more confusing.

Man, always strikes me at the deadline how little Habs fans watch hockey outside of the Habs.

King's the type of bottom 6 forward this team has lacked for years...think Brandon Prust, but bigger, faster and a bit better skills.

+ he's got a lot of playoff experience...Habs finally have bottom 6 guys who can change the momentum of the game by doing something other than scoring.

Good, solid move by Bergevin

First move that goes beyond meh for me. Would rather address the top six, but King for a conditional 4th is more than fine by me.

Eller type production in a big body, kills penalties. Lots of playoff experience. Looks pretty good

The trade deadline is not over

But e have scorers already.... But they don't score since ages: Gallagher, Plekanec, Danault, Lehkonen, Shaw. If these guys could score some, guys like Patches, Galchy and Radulov would be releived.

CJ like MT, prefers tight low scoring games.

Finally, we gonna have a team that will be unpleasant to play against. King, Shaw, Ott, McCarron.... I love it !

King has won a couple of Cups with LA.

This is the Montreal Canadiens you are talking about, people watch hockey because it's Habs, not watch the Habs because it's hockey

I don't know. LA fans are celebrating his being gone. I haven't watched the Kings this year, and I've liked King in the past. But, hard to ignore when the hometown fans cheer on the player's departure.

I'd rather have Ott than Flynn or Andrighetto on a 4th line. We could have ended with Clifford instead of King who is way more useful and disciplined.

King is gonna play on a 3rd line with Plekky and Shaw, I guess.

Dwight King is a great PK-er and plays hard every night. Was very much respected in the Kings' locker room. You guys are lucky to have him.

Finally! True gritty 4th Liners! This is an excellent trade. Has scored 15 goals in a season!
