Maybe McCarron will be sent down to St-J now to improve his overall game. I hope he will finally understand what it needs to be a NHL player.

King (LW) - Ott (C) - McCaron (RW)

those will be a ****IN pain to play against.
BigMac should be in the AHL! Clearly not ready.

A lot of Habs fans would be happy if Pacioretty was gone. And Weber.

Can't trust fan boards.

Complaining because we already picked up Ott and need a top 6 forward. King is decent but our focus should be higher.

Why the Kings, who are all in, would let him go if he was so important to their cups runs?

Seriously? Our 4th liners suck. They don't do anything except give the other team momentum. Players like Mitchell, Flynn, Ghetto, DD etc are not effective 4th liners.

King McCarron Ott are the kind of players you want on the 4th. They can wear D down.

Better than the rumoured Bourque. Apparently the Kings coach had a tendency of using him in top 6 though....

Exactly. Who complained about getting King? People on this board have been bringing up his name for over a year.

The issue is whether or not Bergevin addresses or not the top 6 situation. King is fine, as long as it's not Bergevin's last move.

Indeed, we've been lacking in that department for way too long.

So is he trying to make two teams of bottom six players?

Yeah because DD was useless for us and had no role.

Why would the Kings' fan cheer for King's departure?

Dwight King had 11 Pts in the 2013/14 Playoffs....

Big body ....I hope Habs can resign him .

He's got puck skills, he can be used as a spark plug. But he gives us an identity in the bottom 6, it's well balanced now. You got your **** talkers, defensive guys, big physical forecheckers, skilled young guys for more offense...

Hard not to love this. And I'm pretty sure Bergevin will add a top 6 player.

Kings aren't the Habs...Dwight King on the Kings right, is a bit of a redundant forward.

Big, physical grinder who doesn't score much.

He's not going to score much for the Habs, but he brings other elements the Habs sorely lack.

There are too many weak and meek forwards on the Habs, the role players on this team IMO, are too non-descript.

I'm not a fan of fighting...but last night, Scott Hartnell slewfooted Carey Price and no one did a GD thing, Benn grabbed him and pushed him around a bit. I thought to myself, for sure McCarron is going to go after him or at least after Bobrovsky.

But nothing...

King I think fits nicely on this team on the 4th line line, I've got no issues with this trade at all. He's physical, smart, doesn't make many mistakes, physical and can chip in offense from time to time.

Some cap space to make another move. I don't think they had much room.

So you would be thrilled if King is the biggest addition MB makes today? He is the missing piece that will put the Habs over the top?

He was the slowest player on the Kings.

Has size, making him good along the boards.

Not mean/physical.

Ladder player, can play on 1st line-4th line.

Mostly invisible.

Reminds me of 2015 when we're starved for goals and he trades for Mitchell and Flynn at the deadline

Here's a novel idea.....

Let's wait, and see how the rest of the day goes. Then the question won't be hypothetical.
