Eh the current standings say there's massive parity and it's the opposite of the NBA.
At the halfway point last season, Pittsburgh was old, slow and needed to blow it up. They went on to win the cup.
Parity in the regular season is a lot different than parity in the playoffs, besides last year recently Kings and Blackhawks were taking turns as Cup Champs. If it is Pittsburgh/Chicago in the Final, then it show parity only means so much
Yeah but that series was cancelled due to the hostage/bomb situation at the igloo and the ice being destroyed from a helicopter falling on it.
Was that the game where that fire Marshall disguised himself as the goalie and went in and made those killer saves in the third? That was a crazy game. I remember the mascot lying dead in the kitchen. Hockey used to be a lot more entertaining thats for sure.
