The new 'Best Line In Hockey'?

Crosby, Guentzel, Sheary. This line has caught fire in a big way.

Last year saw the HBK line propel the Penguins to a cup, are we seeing something similar happen again!?!?

They need to get healthy. But yes. That line has been absolutely ridiculous.

If you find a way to abbreviate Crosby, Guentzel and Sheary with HBK, then yes, you might see it happen again.

That line has 30 points in the last 7 games. Their points look like this:

Crosby: 6 goals and 11 points
Guentzel: 3 goals and 9 points
Sheary: 2 goals and 10 points

Isn't any line that has Crosby on it one of the best lines in hockey? Not really comparable to the Pens third line catching fire last year.

Marchand, Bergeron and Pastrnak gets my vote. All 3 are in the top 10 in scoring since Feb 1 and all 3 have scored more points than McDavid and Crosby since Feb 1.

It is a very complete and balanced line; experience, youth, grit, talent and defensive awareness.

No and it's ridiculous that people say this sort of thing to take away what Guentzel and Sheary do. Both were helping Sid when he was in his dry spell. Just outstanding young players that rejuvenated Crosby as well.

Bruin's first line is probably better but this line is a lot of fun to watch.. they are killing it

Crosby and... who? Yea, no. Knee-jerk reaction as usual on these boards.

Sheary and Guentzel are on pace to be top 10 had they played a full season. Sheary has 47pts in like 51 games.

I highly highly doubt either would end up top 10 over a full season, even if they play with Sid.

Yeah it's funny when people say that sort of crap. Watching the games you'd see just how much those two create with Crosby. Just amazing as a trio. I think Guentzel is the glue on that line, incredibly intelligent player.

Write Sheary and Guentzel off at your peril. Two emerging talents.

47pts in 51 games isn't some 20 game hot streak. That's consistent production for an undrafted dwarf. Guentzel was putting up points without Crosby as well.

So because you don't know who they are, they're not good? Flawless logic. Here, I'll give you some information on them:

Sheary: leads the league in ES points/60 and is 13th in goals/60
Guentzel: lead the AHL in goals and points when he was called up and ranks top-10 in ES goals/60

Sheary is going to end up top-10 in LW scoring this season despite missing 20 games, so your entire premise is pretty flawed. Sheary has been just as productive as Panarin has been this year, I just don't know why people were so excited to call Panarin elite after 1 season but won't extend the same to Sheary.

But yeah, they're not the best line in hockey. If Sheary and Guentzel continue to progress and Crosby doesn't decline, maybe they can be that next year.

They are on a hot streak. That does not make them the “best line in hockey”. Holy hyperbole Batman!

Because people here think Crosby makes anyone amazing and haven't been paying attention to hockey at all for the past 12yrs of his career.

They still think Sid plays with Andy Hilberts and Colby Armstrongs.

tHe only reason they are good is because they play with cRosby. even though they set up three goals for him on a platter today

Yeah Sheary has managed to magically be incredibly productive for 51 games with 47 points.

As a hot streak fluke.

Jeez. Such salty people.

Sheary is a great young player, I havent watched them a ton but he is a great compliment to Crosby but also has skill and isnt just a passenger.
I guess a question id have for Pittsburgh fans is their any concerns about that line as 2/3 of it are very young and small? I know they have guys on 3 lines that can catch fire at any moment so thats a nice benefit
