Um. No, he doesn't. Hartnell and Saad see to that quite easily between the two of them.

I'm not saying that playoff experience is somehow a great strength of the Jackets; anyone can tell it's not. Certainly not, as compared to the Pens. But it's not exactly the huge weak point it's been sold as.

Kunitz has 3 cups, Hartnell & Saad have combined for 2, the math checks out.

Ah. Didn't realize he'd been on the Ducks Cup team; somehow I remembered him being traded before that.

Well, Kyle Quincey also has a Stanley Cup ring, although his name isn't on there. Can we throw him in?

Oh God. Please tell me we're not actually trying to defend Kunitz now...

If THAT happens, Columbus would be in the driver's seat. Because they, they'd be looking at a SECOND round matchup against the survivor, who would come out of that series with scabs and bruises, and be staring at the guy who may be the best goaltender in hockey at that moment.
I don't even wanna play the Jackets, I rather finish 1st and watch Cbus and Caps play dirty on eachother and hope if Pens can get to the 2nd round we play a hobbled team next. I'd love to watch a Caps/Cbus war in the first round, and thank the hockey gods it wasn't Pens getting destroyed by non stop dirty plays.

The regular season THIS year is a whole lot more relevant to a potential playoff outcome THIS year than a playoff series 3 years ago. Not that the regular season record means much anyway when it comes to playoff matchups.

Whatever happens, the East playoffs are going to be a meat grinder. It's going to be hockey heaven for anyone who doesn't have a stake in it. Anyone who does is going to need better health care coverage to account for strokes, blood pressure and heart attacks.

Yeah. I want nothing to do with having to deal with a Torts-coached team again.

Delighted to see the Jackets finally clinch it.

Im just happy about the Jackets season all-around. Im not even a CBJ fan, and i've been a bit frustrated with them the last few years (or more so the bad luck with injuries).

Especially happy for Jarmo. He's always been a good hockey guy, and perfect fit for a GM role. Some tough luck like case Horton etc. but finally his work is starting to pay off.

It's too bad they have to face either the Pens or Caps in the 1st round (although they are capable surprising). Because the team is so well built for playoff hockey. One of the best d-cores in the entire league, goalie who in my mind has to win the Vezina and 4-line offense.

It's probably going to be the same old story of opposing star forwards getting the better of you in the end, but don't count out the Jackets regardless. In a 7 game series they're going to be a ***** to take down. Bob and the d-core is not easy to break, they play fast and physical and like to score greasy goals. Also i've been really impressed how much skill they've displayed this season. Not to mention they're really good at home.

But we all know the West is winning it because West >>>>>>> East. The top 8 teams in the West could easily sweep the best East team. Atleast that's what i'm used to seeing Hfboards say.

I'm hoping for a BJs-Sharks or Caps-Sharks final.

Imagine if they had to go through the Pens, Caps, and Sharks.

The salt is real for some in here. For a franchise that has done absolutely nothing historically we sure have our share of haters. Whatever. We'll see what happens

If Columbus wins the Cup those who put their money on them at the beginning of the year are going to cash in big time.

Gratz to CBJ fans. Good to see your team make the show again and good luck! Go get em'! Show em' how loud Nationwide can rock!

Don't play innocent, there's a good reason why people don't like Columbus. It's certainly not because of how dirty they play...

Maybe not, but I think they could make it a hell of a series. I like the Jackets.

Crosby is just about due for the Dubinsky treatment. Kidding aside, I want the Jackets to get the top spot and play Toronto or the Isles. Let the Caps/Pens destroy each other, that is if the Pens have enough players to even make it to the playoffs, with their annual "epic" rash of injuries that NBCSN and NHL Network reports like they have a case of the bubonic plague going through the locker room. I'll give you Malkin and Letang as key injuries, but the others should be replaceable. A great organization should have the depth. You're still icing a great team without those two.

Where's the thread that tracks clinching scenarios, that usually appears around this time of the season?
