The Goldilocks Game, 5-4 Jets

First period was too hot!
Second period was too cold.
Third period was just right.

We won with a depleted defense.

Hutch came up big!

It was Hutchinson's "Bob Essensa Mask" that won the game for us!

Coaching needs to truly be evaluated. I'm not sure how a team can play so good in the first but getting dominated in the 2nd (21 to 5 shots on goal). It's gotta be lack of adjustments made by the coaches.

Lowry is the Jets' best interview, followed closely by Morrissey. Both very smart and articulate, and play with a lot of heart.

In the end sieve number 2 was better than sieve number 1

Nice gutsy win by the team.

Buff and Morrissey where huge on defense and they needed to be given who the other players dressed.

I thought the CAL line where very good. Real strong games by Lowry and Copp.

WSP also with a solid game. Great hustle by Chef on the game winner.

I thought Laine had another off game. He might be starting to feel the NHL schedule. Ehlers holds the puck too much at times, needs to just put it on net when the situation calls for it. I liked his defensive effort though.

Helle really only let in one bad goal and was under siege. Bit of an unfair pull but Hutch GM came in and played real well.

Good move by Maurice to put Hutch in goal for the third. Hellebuyck would have lost us that game based on that second period performance.

I thought Strait was decent. First time seeing him play. Better than expected.

Reminds me of when the jets got swept in the playoffs. Hey we should see if that coach is available.

So, Maurice out-coached Boudreau in the 1st (got them ready), then again in the 3rd?

This was just a strange game because the Jets had a horrible, horrible defense.

Probably a mercy pull for helle. 21 shots in the 2nd 34 after 2. 16 games in a row. It's 2 much. Thought helle was pretty good tho. Easily kept the team in it until the floodgates opened

My NHL tv stream was hanging a lot during the final 2 minutes. Obviously some kind of sadistic torture by internet demons.

I'm very happy to at least take one against the Wild this season.

Copp is a keeper. I think he's sorta separating himself away from the other guys fighting for roster spots.

Agree with this. Little was also pretty invisible.

I actually liked the PK fine when Stuart wasn't on the ice. More aggressive.

The wild played last night and to be honest... they dominated us. We had 4 goals on 7 or 8 shots.

Yeah anyone expecting this game to be a Picasso with 3 below replacement level defenders in the line up where setting themselves up for disappointment. I wasn't at all surprised with them getting hemmed for long stretches.
