Not much to lose. Hopefully we see more line tinkering and although we don't have the depth for it right now, I'd like to see a full game of aggressive forechecking and pressure. Is that too much to ask?
Lehner played well in LA, and that loss certainly wasn't his fault at all, but why not come back with the goaltender who helped you win his last game? Plus, this probably means PIT sees Nilsson for a third time tomorrow night - I don't see that ending well.
Also, last time in the Joe for the Sabres.
Stupid Schedule Stat: We have 10 games left...and four B2B's. That may have killed us if we were on the cusp. I don't know what the Sabres have to do on their end, but they have to try to avoid having so many B2B's in future seasons. It puts the team at a major competitive disadvantage.
On my way to Detroit for tonight's game after visiting Buffalo for St. Patrick's Day parade weekend. Hopefully I catch some energy for the game and the Sabres can close out their last visit to the Joe with a win! My girlfriend won't be happy if the Wings lose but both our seasons are already over.
