Nope, only his second pro season.

99% sure.

Winning a game down 4 D is something. Good thing Detroit is awful. Larkin is in whatever ten times a sophomore slump is.

Not looking forward to tomorrow against an elite team sitting waiting for them.

Rodrigues is safe.

he is under team control until the 2021-2022 season. (7 years after ELC was signed)

Pits has the injury bug, like 8 starters missing, they still have Crosby though.

idk I just find it funny we courted Vesey so hard when a superior player fell into our laps the season prior

Jack wants it, Jack will get it.

Yes, Kopitar and Bergeron are on Jack's watch list.

Hey guys! Remember the time when everyone said he was on Eichel's level? Yea, that was a good time.

When he was drafted he said he wanted to model his game after Toews, so maybe he decided that a long time ago. He sure doesn't have the same style as Toews, but at least we know that Jack is smart enough to have a favorite player with a game as complete and subtle and JT's.

Funny, Hamilton is saying Rodrigues played horribly, Harrington says he's clearly making a case for a roster spot next season. I don't like when people compare these two reporters...Hamilton is in such a different level of garbage, it isn't funny. Even for AM radio, where the bar couldn't possibly be lower.

Hamilton is a joke. The guy absolutely LOVES Josh Gorges. I had to laugh at him when, in Anaheim, he kept praising Gorges for how he played a 2-on-1 when the good play came from Bailey's backcheck. I don't think he knows what to look for to determine whether a player had a good game.

How could you watch Rodrigues tonight and say he had a bad game? He was all over the ice. The kid made a couple of very nice defensive zone plays and created chances offensively. Paul Hamilton played D3 college hockey 30 years ago though, so we all have to defer to him.

Wow, two in a row. Uh oh, guess who's going to point to this and say, it's not the coaching. Let's be honest, we looked pretty good tonight. But against a team that is clearly worse than the sabres. Pit tomorrow

It's all about rugged veteran leadership, and how hard the guy tries, right? I mean who cares that he can't skate anymore or that he drives down every single stat that's tracked, and most of the ones that aren't. He was an alternate captain in Montreal and worked his tail off to make the NHL as an undrafted player. All those disrespectful kids need to take notice of how the games supposed to be played.

They looked good for 20 minutes, as usual

Winning big is a luxury. Winning pretty is wonderful. Winning ugly is fine by me. Just win baby.

I didn't think they looked very good after the 2nd goal. Granted, I turned it off in the 2nd period because it was looking more of the same old. Stupid long passes from the D-zone that almost never connected, dumping it in with no one in position to retrieve it, etc. It's incredibly frustrating to watch.

Was it just me, or did Brady Austin look passable as a 6th D-man for the night? Not saying that's what he is but he played better than I thought he would. I wasn't too scared when he was on the ice, and he was with Bogo.
