Anyone thinking Price belongs in this race right now isn't giving Columbus and Bobrovsky the respect they deserve.

Yeah, this is the best defense he has ever had in front of him.

Obviously no goalie leads all categories without the team in front of him buying in defensively. Even so, it's tough to rank another goalie higher when there's a clear leader that has separation from the pack.

Has my vote for sure. Great year for him. I know it sounds stupid, but I think he and Darling should be the front runner. I understand Darling barely meets the min requirement, but man he's just as important to that Hawks team, even being start studded.

I would have Bob win Vezina, Darling/Anderson right behind. I know that won't get a lot of love, but Darling is doing something special this year. And he meets the requirement.

Wouldn't be upset at all to see him win another Vezina, but I think Holtby is going to win.

Does the Vezina really go to the goalie most important to his team? I've always viewed it more of a stats award. In either case, importance or stats, the case can be made for Bob. Stats wise, I think the only one with a chance other than Bob is Holtby. These two will go head-to-head [most likely] twice in the next two weeks. Gotta believe that, if everything else holds, the one who outperforms the other in those two games has the inside track on the Vezina.

Best goalie, but seems like he'd be damn important to his team too. It's why Holtby and Bob are neck and neck. Bob ahead right now, but Holtby is there. Holtby is probably not near as important to Caps as Bob is to Jackets. But if Holtby finishes with better stats, I'd say he deserves Vezina.

I think it's a bit too early to tell. Bobrovsky has a chance to win the Vezina if he can keep his game where it has been. Certainly Holtby and Dubnyk can still have something to say about that, especially if Bob falters just a little.

P.S. Stop posting these threads and jinxing my boys.

As awesome as it would be to see him win Calder. He won't be

Bobrovsky was on the team last year and didnt turn it around.
The only award for Columus should be Jack Adams to Torts

Holtby hasn't been the best goalie. Good goalie on a great team. Bob has been by far the best goalie. Holtby got a Vezina because of the wins record last year. GM's will be thinking twice this year.

Holtby is a great goalie on a great team. Bobrovsky so far this season has been better, but both are great goalies.

Uh, you mean when he spent half the season on injured reserve and put up his worst numbers since Philly? What does that have to do with anything?

The 2017 Vezina is awarded on the basis of play during the 2016-17 season. During this season, Bobrovsky is very clearly a major factor in Columbus' unexpected surge to the top of the league.
