That d-core is horrific, but as long as we clinch, it doesn't matter.
Our top guys aren't giving it their all right now anyway. Might be better having some guys come in looking to prove management they deserve a spot.

I don't know why we haven't called up Hudon yet considering we're scoring less than 2 goals a game for nearly 2 months now.

No worries it's only roughly 28% of the season.

Radulov is out of gas. He is not use to these long seasons.

We could call him up, but we have no space for him in the top 9 right now.
Would you rather let him play in the ahl big minutes and help the ice caps make the playoffs, or play him less than 10 per game on the 4th line with the habs?

If we were already in the playoffs and were struggling to score goals, I'd call him up even if it is for case 2, but we're not in the playoffs and we aren't really struggling to score goals that much.

Needs to be moved away from Patch like two weeks ago.
I'd seriously consider playing him with either Lehk/Shaw or Chucky/Shaw.
I think he appreciates work ethic in his linemates.

It's too bad, because Danault's game was really beginning to pick back up before being thrown on the first line once again. Now it's straight back to being invisible for him, but his two heavily underperforming wingers are not helping his case in the slightest

Whatever chemistry those three had earlier on in the season -more specifically between Radu and Pac- has now clearly dissipated. At this point keeping them together might be even to their detriment, there's a significant lack of cohesion between the two and the lack of production speaks to this. Probably the line that was pinned in their zone the most last night.

Move Chuck back to center

Pac-Chuck-Gally
Lehk/Byron-Danault-Radulov

I would give him 4 years at 6.5 per. Nothing more or less.

He looks gassed, which is bad news if he can't get himself rejuvenate himself before the playoffs. His puck possession game is nowhere near what it was at the beginning of the year; he now seems to get stripped or knocked off the puck routinely.

$6.5 AAV seems to be the # I'm thinking makes sense too. Not sure about the term though. I actually would like to sign him for 5 years at somewhere around his current Cap hit ($5.75M), if he would be willing to sign it. This takes him to age 35 and avoids him signing his next contract at age 36 where it then becomes risky for teams if he retires early

I'm still pumped to see what he can do in the playoffs. I'm not worried about the slump. coming back from injury and re-adjusting to the nhl he hit a bit of a late mid season wall. The guy's pretty playoff proven in several different leagues and he wants a big contract. I say he shines.

You can't get into a player's mind, but the Sportsnet interview—and the emotions he displays on the ice—tells me that Radulov wants this badly. I've been worried that he would revert at some point. I hope not; he could well be the playoff beast the team has needed for so long.

BTW, I thought it was interesting that Radu made sure to credit Patrick Roy for his work ethic.

I read this article as well. After reading it, I feel 50/50 he returns to Montreal. I don't think he gives the Habs any favors and signs a team friendly deal to ensure the Habs can use extra Cap Space to go after other players. Expect Radulov to go after $6.5M+ AAV. I bet you he's asking for the 5 year deal too. Should be interesting to see how this develops. It does suck that the Habs would take a major set back if Radulov walks as they need his offense and it would be hard to replace.

Gotta love Rads attitude, very low-key but I hear the confidence, "then the fun starts" Playoffs, just loves playing hockey full out "Winner!!!..."

That backhand pass though. Give the guy a right hand stick already.

At 6.5 for 5 years you sign him as soon as possible. That's less than his current salary + what we were giving Desharnais... Emelin and Plekanec coming off the books next year...

We have no one else to do the job anyway.

Would be nice if we could get him for less than 6M and not more than 5 years.

Looks like he's shook off whatever slump he was going through because he's turning up his game. Can't wait to watch him in the playoffs.

Bergy's comment on Radulov during an interview this morning at 91.9: ""On aimerait beaucoup le garder à Montréal, mais tout ne tourne pas autour de lui. Ce n'est pas un Sidney Crosby." -Bergevin sur Radulov

Hmm....I am kinda worried now if Radu is going to re-sign...

What a dumb thing to say. What is the point in saying that? My god.
