Bednar says he'll be playing center and they're going to throw him right into the fire. He doesn't know if he'll play on Friday because he may have some immigration issues but he'll be at the facility tomorrow.

If you're going to throw him right into the fire, I assume that means he'll be between Landeskog and Duchene.

If that's the case, I'd call up Greer and roll a 3rd line of Greer-Compher-Nieto.

A bit unexpected but then again, it's been known how much they love Jost for some time now.

He should have been done for the season after that lazy tripping penalty on the first shift the other night.

Then he goes to the box, doesn't seem upset or disappointed in himself whatsoever, sits down, and has a little chuckle with the penalty box official about something. Prime example of what's wrong with so many players on this team.

4 goals, 8 points, -21, just took a lazy penalty on the first shift of the game, and he thinks something's funny.

Would be awesome if they called up Greer and Grimaldi as well.

Landeskog - Jost - Duchene
Ghetto - Mackinnon - Rantanen
Greer - Compher - Grimaldi
Comeau - Soderberg- Bourque

Would be interesting to see the difference. The defense is still a ****show, but not much that can be done with no more callups and Bigras having injury issues anyways.

How many times have you said the AHL guys show a noticeable difference in effort level when they get passed up? I can't believe you of all people didn't get that joke.

Greer has 2 goals in his last 20 games, and has already been called up to the NHL as a 19 year old 2nd rounder. That's fairly uncommon. In fact, only four guys from that round have more NHL games than him.

Carlo and Aho are really the only ones to stand out as of yet from that draft outside the 1st round. There's a couple guys taken in the 4th and 7th round that have played some games, but haven't contributed a whole lot.

Plus he doesn't seem like someone who would hang his head at not getting called up.

There should be no reason for that group to sulk at not getting called up. If they are, then that's probably why they're where they are in the standings.

Slowly but surely their increasing the ratio of NHL players to non-NHL players in their favour.

Happy to see this done and I'm not surprised he is getting in games. It will be interesting to see how he matches up physically.

Hopefully players like Ghetto and Nieto can teach him a thing or two.

I did a little happy dance when I saw this last night. I'll be watching the rest of the season now. Hopefully we get a little media presence at practice today to see Jost's first practice.

Greer was a healthy scratch last game. I'm not sure he's owed anything at this point.

Lol this made me laugh I'm not sure why

What's with the whining for Greer? Guy's not exactly burning up the AHL, why would he be any better in Colorado? Then again he's probably not our worst option.

Excited to see Jost. I didn't even know it was a possibility this season but it seems like a high note to end on. I think he'll look good but not ready.

I haven't been around all to much this season, but I'm very excited to see Jost. I had him as a top 6 guy in 2016 and his game reminds me a bit of Sakic's to be completely honest. Putting him at Center allows him to use his Vision/creativity and should hopefully keep him off the boards to an extent as his physical immaturity is the weakest part of his game right now.

This report must be incorrect...he must be going back to UND for another year for sure.

Like I said, since the day after he was drafted...it was always going to be a 'one and done' with this kid. I don't think a lot of people realize how good he's going to be.

We're you the one that had him as a top 5 player at the draft Bender?
