Higgins I believe has a concussion, and Gratton needs to get back into shape.

Congrats to Larrivee on his first point in the AHL. He almost had a goal, but Miller poke checked it before he could burry it.

I assume nobody is watching the game, so how does Larrivee sound so far?

Gratton is back, but hasn't played for some time, so I would think Jarvis will give him a few days to work with the team (since the team has been playing so well lately, there's no rush to put Gratton back in, as he has had a lot of injury problems over the last 2 years) The Dogs need Gratton for the playoff run, but I expect he will be in the lineup soon (just a guess).

Higgins I hope they are very very careful with. The guy should get a night off here and there, as he adapts to the much much longer schedule (29 games vs 82 in one year). Higgins is a future Hab, so don't rush him back, as head injuries are no joke. I assume that they will bring him slowly, hopefully he is ok.

It's tough to say since I haven't paid too much attention to the announcers, but I'd say he's been not bad or good, but it's his first game, and he has played with Blouin and Carpentier so that's tough for any player to get it going. It sounded like he made a good play before the goal, but he also lost the puck on the shift before that, and when you are playing the team that is right behind you in your division (well Barons are right behind the Dogs, but Rochest is very close to the Barons, as of a few days ago when I last looked).

Ovelstad and Someuvori are good players , it's not like Perezhogin was twice better than them Perezoghin has more points only because of the PP time and that he get's used on a scoring role more often .

i was talkin to my anat prof about concussions yesturday after my lab and she was saying something along the lines, for coaches who work with kids theyre being taught about the signs of concussions now and what theyre being told is that "once a player has any concussion, they should be told/forced to sit out for 10 days and as long as they arent showing any signs of the concussion, ie. seeing stars, headaches, sleep issues, etc then they should wait another 10 days before playing again.. then again though, this is with kids.. but i believe for adults, its a week i think..
she also mentioned that everytime you have a concussion, you actually will build up scar tissue in the brain and the long term effects of that arent good

I don't agree. In the games I was at and saw on tv, Olvestad has shown little hockey sense, outside the PK. He does have good wheels, but in terms of offensive abilities, he's not anywhere close to Perehzogin. I do like Someuvori, but in all 4 games I was at, he was getting knocked off the puck easily and was creating much at all on offense. Lately Someuvori has seemed to pick it up, as he has the skills, imo. I don't think either have the shot or moves that Perezhogin has.

4-1 dogs!

Hamilton - Marcel Hossa (Tomas Plekanec, Jozef Balej) 9:07
Hamilton - Marcel Hossa (Karl Dykhuis) 13:53

keep it up Marcel...2 G's, 3 A's in the last 3 games...the Habs franchise will only be better off if he starts lighting it

Hossa with 2 goals. Hossa 4 (Plekanec Balej) Hossa was the trailer on the play.

Hossa 5 (Dykhuis) Dykhuis took the puck up ice, Hossa puts it in.

4-1 Dogs.

Game over..Dogs win again

I dunno about you, but if Hossa keeps on producing and Dags doesn't I would sure not mind seeing him called up and have this as a lineup:

Hossa - Koivu - Ryder
Zednik - Ribeiro - Ward
Bulis - Juneau - Sundstrom
Kilger - Begin - Langdon

Good to hear Hossa is doing great.
I hope he continue to produce we need a Hossa who play every night in Montreal. But if he start to Produce I'm for let him play with the Dogs and have fun and desire to win, we'll see next year.

Good to see Hossa's starting to get back on track this game and I believe the 2 or 3 games before this on he's really been playing well.

Just got back from the game, get Hossa out of there.

He SUCKED all game, and was simply skating in on 1 goal and hit it in, and on another he was in front and put it in. I didn't even know he was the one who scored. He got a couple of goals, but didn't hustle back didn't do anything SPECTACULAR or anything.

Im sorry to break it to you, but he got lucky, I could have scored those two goals in his place, and that is not a joke. I still can't believe he got first star.

yea guys, i agree with habitants...

I just got back from the game as well...Balej did all the work on the first goal and hossa was just floating in. Second goal was miller's fault and again, hossa was trailing behind the play as usual.

I don't think he's an NHLer guys. Balej looked impressive. Hainsey sucks, but I already knew that.

I just can't believe that Julien would play 2 rookies on his top line. If Bulis gets dropped to the 3rd line, I would sooner expect Sundstrom than a rookie to take his place.
