Can't really blame the ref on this one, it was super close. They need to clarify the rule or just go back to no knees if a guy has one hand down.

It's not the easiest call but its also not the first questionable call for this ref. Even watching the replay on the big screen he thought it was still illegal. McCarthy had to tell him it wasn't.

DC needs to get the fight to the ground as soon as he possibly can. Any distance between him and rumble and he's toast.

McCarthy had access to instant replays.

As I said, Lomackenko masterclass... just elite level skills. There are fighters and then there are those that are tip top. He's the latter and treat to watch for connoisseurs of the sweet science. Missed the UFC, though. But I see Mousasi won? Controversial?! Neverthless, Wideman was so cocky before the fight, disrespectful towards Mousasi, so glad he's been humbled.

i know he shouldnt have lost

but weidman sucks, his striking is poor. He is just a jiu jitsu, wrestler guy

he could probably ko someone with his elbow but aside from that, VERY average striking which is simply not enough for the division

he could practice that but sometimes its a born skill. Opponents know he is trying to do takedowns and they prepare for that. Heck, Romero Ko'd him when he was trying a takedown attempt, so predictable, this is the UFC not amateurs

Nelson without the KO punch is essentially a boring lay'n'pray grappler who's a punching bag on the feet

Ha-ha... yeah, he's 40 now... not pretty but a likeable character... and not terribly impressed by Volkov.

Yeah, big country can still brawl but he's lost a step now and it's showing. I just don't see him beating most top fighters anymore. Volkov could be a contender before too long, he's a former Bellator champ/current M1 champ so he's got the credentials.

Demetrious gets so little respect, it's crazy. No wonder the guy is starting to get pissed about it.

Yeah, a complete skill set. He's a walking textbook for mma. Love watching him work. I guess because he's such a little dude. That and the fact he's so dominant (which doesn't always make for exciting fights) leaves him, yeah, vastly underappreciated.

Whittaker might just be the worst matchup for Jacare with his outstanding takedown defense and really high level striking
