So on a day when everyone expected a decision on Forsberg's Olympic status, things stayed status quo. Although he felt "a little better" after a light workout Thursday, Forsberg will miss tonight's game at home against the Washington Capitals. There's still hope that he could play on Saturday night at Ottawa. The decision probably will be made at that time about whether he or not he will even fly to Turin.

He said that heŽd possibly play against Ottawa, and then make the final decision about the olympics after that game.

Forsberg acknowledged that the possibility of playing later in just the medal round was discussed in a conversation with Swedish coach Bengt-Ake Gustafsson on Wednesday. That would mean he would not play until the quarterfinals on Feb. 22, skipping five of a possible nine games in a 12-day stretch.

Sounds good to me.
