Baker doesn't seem like the kind of guy to just say something, I'd have to imagine it's a legit source.

Great to hear nothing too serious with Okposo though. Can't wait to watch him next year!

That is great news, but unless the source is Okposo I don't know why Baker can share his private medical info.

Bakes isn't bound by hippa. I'm pretty sure Hippa only applies to health care professionals. My wife is a nurse. If she told me something about a patient and then I passed it on. She would get in trouble and I would not. Except with my wife. I have the same rules with the EMS calls I respond to.

Bakes source my be in trouble if they didn't get permission. Assuming it's not Okposo, which I doubt, since he wouldn't be called a source. Bakes would just say Okposo told me.... No need for Kyle to hide his identity (as a source) when revealing info about himself.

If not legally, then ethically. Seems like a jerk move unless Okposo okayed it.

Good news that he is doing better and getting healthy. Great news for him and his family that he is (hopefully) not in the hospital anymore.

So taking meds for an unannounced concussion? Great to hear he's improving, but it raises other questions about the when/where of Okposo having a concussion.

Of all the things this could have been, having an odd/severe reaction to medication is probably the best possible explanation.

if this is the real story it must have been a real serious adverse reaction to the drug to wind up in the Neuro Surgery ICU

i was once on a medication that had a lot of dietary restrictions because the drug interacting with certain foods - cheeses, cured meats, fermented(beer) can cause a hypertensive crisis where you need medical attention immediately.

I wonder if the meds are potentially not NHL kosher, hence the secrecy. Or, also, perhaps he played through the concussion for... a while.

Maybe he got it sometime during the Florida game. Symptoms came on the next day/or got worse, forcing him to miss the Clb game, but it wasn't diagnosed right away. After diagnosis he takes meds and has a reaction. IIRC, he didn't end up in ICU until a week after those two games.

This is why it's incredibly dumb for those people to have said "I'm going to assume Okposo is never coming back." before we had the proper information.

Looks like he's gonna be just fine.

Of course, she shouldn't get mad at you, since she'd be breaking HIPAA law by telling you!
(wives usually work logically like that, right?)

fantastic news!

and about those post-concussion issues, i'm pretty sure he tried to cover it up a little and meant Bylsma's tactical approach which gave him a concussion-like headache.
