Funny you should mention that, I was just doing some research. Dallas has been an absolute house of horrors for us- almost every game there the last 4 years has been a blowout loss:

We have lost 5 in row, and have been outscored in those five games 22 to 8.

Last 4 years: 1-7-1 record with a minus 21 goal differential.

Last win there was November 2014.

That is pretty ridiculous- we are WAY overdue for a win in that building......

Ah my crush's 3 favourite hockey players (Ekholm, Forsberg, and Klingberg) all playing against each other in one night. Forever friendzoned... Now that I'm done moaning, I hope Rinne has a good game tonight if he's playing. Rinne stole that 5-2 Dallas victory earlier on the season. Rest Rinne against the Jets, and we're good to go.

I don't feel bad ever since I saw Calgary's losing streak in Anaheim (last win 2004).

Let's win. Long shot to still get Minnesota first round. I'm staying optimistic.

I don't really care who we face, I'd just like a couple of wins heading into the playoffs just to get some confidence and momentum.

If we lose in regulation and Calgary wins their game, we lock in Chicago for the 1st round. That said, let's win this ****ing game.

Blues need 1 point for this to happen.

On a side note, looks like no real line rushes going on during morning skate.

Yep. But you just never know what is going to happen. Last year we limped into the playoffs, losing 5 of the last 7 to close the season, then won a series and took round 2 to 7 games. We were also slumping badly two years ago but then (despite losing) played very well against the Hawks.

(Although I will say this- and I know on the surface this sounds crazy- even though we won the series, looking back on it I donít think we actually played all that great against Anaheim. We had three awful performances in the 3 losses, and squeaked out 1 goal wins in the 4 wins. Even with a 7-7 playoff record last year we had a minus 12 goal differential)

I think itís entirely possible we could play better this year than we did last year but not have the same success.

Looks like the Preds want Chicago then. Resting players and all. If they were serious about preferring a different team, I'd be icing the best possible team. Bring them on then.

I think we're just resting guys who might need it.

We're in the playoffs regardless and it's not like the team doesn't think they can beat whoever they play.

Expect Josi and Subban to sit Saturday. Both Josi and Weber sat out of the season finale last year.

Yep, was about to post the same thing- I don't think they necessarily WANT Chicago, but they have pretty much said they don't care who they face and aren't scared of anyone.

I get saying things like that, I mean what else are they going to say? The actual truth is that they would probably have a very decent shot against Anaheim/Edmonton and not much of a chance against Chicago. So I think it's pretty stupid not to do everything possible to avoid Chicago, but whatever. I know anything can happen in the playoffs and all those boring platitudes, but if everyone is honest with themselves, they know the Preds would be big underdogs against Chicago and rightfully so.

Will be interesting to see if that happens if we still have a shot at moving up. Last year we were locked in to WC1 so that game was truly meaningless.

If I were Calgary, I'd be throwing my games to stay away from the Ducks. Their record against them in Anaheim is a House of Horrors.

Just tell her you're from Sweden. Seems like it's a done deal after that.

This is such a tired narrative. We would be underdogs to anyone we play. We are either going to be the 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs. What 8 seed will ever be expected to beat a 1? Or even a 7 to beat a 2? Of course we would be underdogs to Chicago. Lowe seeds win all the time. LA won a cup as an 8 seed.
