Now that both Sebastian Aho and Mikko Rantanen has decided to join team Finland it would have been so nice to see them in a same line with Laine in WCH.

But i'm still happy with Laine's decision, he need some physical and mental rest to became the player he wants to be next season.

According to the Team Finland thread Armia has been invited but hasn't decided yet. He has some injuries.

Hasn't yet decided if the Jets are going to let him go?

He needs 72 hours to fully recuperate first. Then he'll make the decision.

It's about players who are willing to go, not players who are the best

Copp has played well whenever he has played with good players. And sometimes even when he doesn't. He might do well there

There was speculation that a lot of players would turn them down b/c of the olympics, don't know how valid that is.

On the other hand, Trouba could have said "can I bring my buddy?"

They have Compher and Jordan Greenway on the team as well. They always end up having a lot of younger guys because all the best players turn them down.

Copp will be good in a fourth line grinding role.

There also was speculation that this time around the players' wifes would be insisting on going to the two-and-a-half-week European vacation as it is now in Paris.

Historically this championship hasn't meant much to North Americans. Last few years Canada has stepped it up a bit for some reason? NHL is a long season and most of the veteran NA guys prefer to get on with their summers, heal injuries, and start their training programs.

Internationally you have the Olympics (obviously) which all players from every country love and want in on and that is where the list ends.

Canada's goaltending is becoming thinner and thinner lol.

Good to see Comrie though. Hopefully he gets some games.

The most exciting part is finding out which goalie who no one has ever heard about gets a NHL contract after their game against Finland.

Good to see both Helle and Comrie there.

Ehlers with 4 apples in their last test game before the tournament against the Swiss.
Denmark won 5-4
