Kiper has us taking McCaffery in Rd 1, Caleb Brantley (DT from Florida) in Rd 2

McShay has us taking Ruben Foster in Rd 1, Joe Mixon (RB from Oklahoma) in Rd 2. Both character flawed guys.

Preseason Schedule out

@Bal
Vs GB
Vs Cincy
@TB

Interesting one is the last one. Might be meaningless but might be only time Redskins see TB in 2017 - 18. Jackson and Baker now there.

Starting LB get arrested and it honestly doesn't even phase me. This team has completely ruined the NFL for me.

Agreed. This kind of thing is getting to be so common in the NFL nowadays that pretty much every team has a couple morons getting in stupid trouble. I can't really hold the Redskins to a higher standard, but it's clear that the league needs to start holding all players more accountable.

It's a sad thing that we have "Conduct Unbecoming" for soldiers we pay poorly to risk their lives for us, but can't manage even a remotely respectable standard for athletes we pay obscene amounts of money to live their dreams...

No place on the roster for someone who has played zero games in two seasons who has issues with the law. Especially a tough guy who roughes up women. Cut his ass.

Yeah that's gotta be it for him. Wasn't this supposed to be his 2nd chance anyway, after a similar altercation?

The NFL has fallen behind the NHL, Premier League, NBA, College FB, and College BB for me. If you would have told me I'd have felt this way five years ago when I was a STH during RGIII's rookie year I would have laughed in your face.

Per esteemed poster Burgold over at ES, Mara will wait to see if he does well in preseason, and if so suspend him for 6 games.

Charges were dropped against him in regards to domestic violence but he was still suspended a couple games by the NFL. Also, there is that video of him on a beach taking a belt to a woman he was arguing with. A quality individual.

Yeah that's what I was talking about, thanks.

I gotta think "fool me once..." applies here.

It comes down to risk versus reward. Risk is he is a POS woman abuser with a history of issues with the law. Reward, well there isn't much if any yet. 2 years and 2 torn Achilles.

An interesting risk/reward situation I just ran into was that of Chad Kelly. Nephew of Jim Kelly. He tore his ACL during the 2016 season, then hurt his wrist during the Ole Miss pro day. Now he is having wrist surgery, done by our friend Dr. James Andrews, and cannot throw a football for 3 months. That means no throwing prior to the draft. Which likely means he will go very late in the draft if he is drafted at all. So the Skins either take him in the 7th or sign him as a UFA and see what happens.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...wrist-surgery/

Yes he has his own issue with the law. He was arrested for resisting arrest outside a bar in Buffalo after getting into a fight with some bouncers. I also seem to remember a temper tantrum he had while enrolled at Clemson because he didn't win the starting QB spot which led to him being dismissed by the team. So he has anger issues, but he is the nephew of a HOF QB. He could be a diamond in the rough.

Junior Gallette had to be tased. At some point he tried to run away from the scene. He was seen assaulting someone by police, but was not charged with assault. Maybe Bruce made some calls.

Just ran into this on twitter. Even back in '89 mock drafts were worthless.

From an SI.com article about what team is the best fit for the QB's in this years draft:

Deshone Kizer:

Quote:
Kizer would fit best in a system where complex route combinations help define the quarterback’s reads based off the coverage. No team is better at this than Washington. Would Washington consider drafting Kizer as a replacement for the soon-to-be very expensive Kirk Cousins in 2018? Another team that creates defined reads from intricate route combinations is Cleveland under Hue Jackson. Kizer may not be the safest QB in this draft, but given his experience at Notre Dame, he’s the one most ready to play right away. The Browns wouldn’t take him at No. 1 and probably not at No. 12. But what if they traded back from 12 to get him later in the first round? Or what if he’s still on the board when they open the second round with the 33rd overall pick? This would be a nice fit, especially when you consider that Kizer also has enough mobility to provide an occasional zone-read dimension to the rushing attack, which Jackson would capitalize on.
