Last note on Trubisky: The Washington Redskins have him graded as a top-10 talent in this class, one of just a few top-10 grades they have on prospects, and teams dont throw those out often. If Washington has Trubisky graded so high and hes available when San Francisco is on the clock, would the Redskins trade Kirk Cousins for the No. 2 pick?

The Redskins will take Charles Harris is hes available at No. 17 ... if they stick to their draft board. If hes gone (as they expect), Jabrill Peppers and Dalvin Cook are both highly ranked and could be the options. I landed on Derek Barnett in my final mock draft, a player that have graded very similarly, fits their prototype at the position and can fill the starting spot Trent Murphy vacates for the first four games this year (before replacing him fully).

Words cannot describe the elation I'd feel if we could grab Hooke at 17 and trade up for Jarrad Davis. Talk about a makeover.

If Skins can keep their remaining top 3 draft choices while doing this, would be a smart gamble. They'd have a lot of money to play with post July 1st cuts. And a flush of new young talent.

It's probably going to be a linebacker. Just a matter of inside (Foster, Davis) or outside (Harris, Barnett, maybe Watt later).

Some people are having Allen drop. That would be absolutely ****ing phenomenal. Local boy too, have some friends who played against him.

How many freaking times can we spend 1st/2nd picks on OLB/DEs? Kerrigan, Murphy, Smith. Doesn't seem like any of the guys around #17 are going to be any better.

Wouldn't be nice to see if a S, CB, RB, ILB would make a decent 1st rounder for a change?...

A dream come true -- and therefore likely way too good to be true.

But man, oh man, if it did...

No joking. I think it is a result of the 3-4, since we have to draft 4-3DEs and then convert them. Make them lose weight, learn pass coverage, and then we only use the 3-4 20% of the time

Wow, seeing a real office work is a beautiful thing. Bluffing the team one pick below you into giving you extra picks to trade spots, then you take the guy you wanted all along.

Bobby Beathard, where art thou?...

Maybe there were other offers to move up and the Bears decided to make the best offer?

Could be. Here's hoping they have better luck trading up for a #2 OA QB than the last franchise that tried it.

The Jets kinda get screwed, as they were the ones who most wanted MT (other than CLE), but they get a pretty sweet consolation prize with Adams -- my favorite player int he draft.

Oooh, if we get #12 + #33 and keep #17, I'd be all in for that

Stop teasing! (So are the ILBs and the CBs -- the QB and WR runs may yet save us from OLB, the Sequel to the Sequel to the Sequel)
