Guys, the game is utterly meaningless. I expect them to dog it and lose- I don't know why any of them are even playing. What is meaningful is... I was looking at the box score on the espn site, and it has Werenski under the scratches, and next to his name it says "shoulder surgeries." This is the first I've heard that he has had a surgery. Did I miss something?

Has anyone heard how long Werenski is out?

Haha... Wild Bill whiffs, then falls and by good fortune finds himself blocking the puck. Best play he's made in a while a result on a series pair of f-ups.

Looks like they're playing to not get hurt and saving their energy!

Don't go to ESPN for any hockey news.

Torts said he absolutely plays game 1 of playoffs . My guess, he was sore, he's not used to amount of games played , and they rested him, wanting him fresh for playoffs

It's not news, it's in the box score listing. Go to the CBJ scratches section.

Not sure if I can post a link, but here goes...

Oh, that's great, really got concerned when I saw that in the box score.

In the booth too.....Rimer rambling on about how much Carlsson has grown, only to have to interrupt the story to say "oh and The Flyers score"....how inconvenient!

What reasons did Torts give for playing everyone today? I don't see how he thought they'd give any effort at all. Why chance injury?

The game doesn't matter except that they need some momentum and I have spent a lot of time and money to come to this game. Kind of pissed me off.

I agree with what Davidge said:
First goal was on Bob, second on Jones.

I don't see an awful zero effort period. They're not going all out either (we really shouldn't want them to in a meaningless game).

Carlsson has looked really good to me. He'll have a couple minuses because of others but his play his been very good so far.

I appreciate your ability to spin everything positively. Are you a PR-type? Political Press Sec.?

Lend me a pair of your rose-colored glasses, won't you?

Carlsson looks 100 times better than Harrington, huge upgrade. I would send Harrington back to the Monsters. Kid needs to develop more.

Ok, Seth! Last game notstanding, our defensemen continue to lead our goal scoring efforts.

I wish there was a little emotion. You are allowed to be happy when you score, its one thing I like about Gagner. He doesnt take it for granted now that he knew he was running out of time in the role he wanted so is pumped up and just plain happy when he scores. Gotta be serious but you also gotta enjoy the game
