Perhaps if Torts hadn't been emasculated by the team and their fragile feelings, he would have been telling it like it is. Ever since the infamous "meeting" the team has played halfheartedly at best. Torts had to repeatedly go in front of the media and not give his true opinion/analysis because the team wanted more constructive criticism. There is no shiny silver lining to this cloud enveloping the team. There is no magic switch that is going to be flipped this week and all of a sudden a competitive team will be on the ice. Pride alone should have already done that. Do disheartening and infuriating to be heading into the playoffs like this.

That's what's been getting me. People trying to be positive as if all the bad habits and lack of chemistry/effort will just snap into place as soon as we play the Pens

I just find it hard to believe that the team has gotten this bad this fast. I do believe they have put it on cruise control for a while. I don't agree with the philosophy but we will see when the playoffs start.
