Dude this is not 1998-2004. We don't deal guys like Staal and we certainly don't deal them for that.

Quest for the cup? No, sorry....we are rebuilding. The great season so far is just a huge added bonus and a sign of years to come hopefully. Sather wouldn't trade our #1 prospect for 3 injury prone guys.

Which amounts to an aging Leetch, a pending UFA in Samsonov and Jackman, who's had his share of injuries already in his career, for a potential stud in Staal and a 2nd round pick, while barely addressing the actual needs of the Rangers. Um, again, no thanks.

Poti for Leetch and Boynton... somehow I don't see Boston and the Blues going for that.

No. Although, I would love Barret Jackman on this team. Not for Staal though.

As much as I would love to see Leetch to retire a ranger (and on a good team), i really want to see staal in a nyr uniform, and i personally feel that im losing reasons to get rid of poti. besides, staal is getting so much recognition, i like to think keeping him might pay the dividends that keeping leetch for all those years did for the rangers.

& that russian kid! Staal is not going anywhere, especially for an over the hill dman at the end of the road and a terminally injured forward who can't stay healthy and who could be had for zero. Go back to easports or whatever your playing.

Staal? fahgedabootit! Not going to happen. He's about where Jackman was 4 years ago without the injury problems. Both St. Louis and Boston do better in this trade.

No Way

Is this a contest for who can make the dumbest trade proposal? After all the dumb trades that the Rangers have made over recent years how can anyone even type the words for these proposals.

NO WAY WE TRADE MARC STAAL - PERIOD.

I don't want any of those guys. I would be happy with Leetch coming home for sentimental reasons... but not by giving up a prospect like Staal. You gotta be kidding! Leetch might be retiring this year.

I doubt very many teams (especially Boston) are going to like taking on Tkachuk's monster salary - even if he is coming up on UFA.

Once again JOrtmeyer you never cease to amaze anyone. Forget Boston and St.Louis not doing it because its Boynton and Leetch for Poti, I dont wanna do it for that reason. Poti has been better and more healthy than both of these guys. And why would St.Louis want a free-agent to be Samsonov? They want draft picks not players that they wont re-sign when trading Tkachuk and Jackman. Nick Boynton has been horrible this year and injured. Leetch has been injured alot this year also as we all know. Please JOrtmeyer no more trade proposals because every one you make doesnt make sense and look as if they are made with no thought time before actually posting them.

This Rangers team right now has great chemistry, why make a trade? I could see if they were to acquire a guy like Samsonov because he MIGHT come cheap, maybe I'd do that but NOT Leetch and Boynton because they havent done much at all this year due to injuries and stats wise, and NOT Tkachuk because he will cost alot--most likely high picks.
