That good news. Now I really wonder how they fit in both Juulsen and Mete??

Now they need to send down McCarron. He's done enough practicing with the big boys now its time for him to apply all that learning with players he is more equal with.
At this point in Big Macs career he is struggling to be a NHL 4th liner. Better for him to play AHL playoffs and maybe turn into a solid 3rd liner in the future.

oh well what the hell do I know

For what it's worth, this armchair GM agrees with you. I also think McCarron in the Calder Cup Playoffs will help him in the long run. With Martinsen and Flynn as extras for the forward group, Habs can afford to send Big Mac down for playing time.

Yes. He signed an ATO yesterday to join the Ice Caps during the playoffs now that his Junior year is over.

Just tweeted some guy on the Ice Caps beat and he replied that neither Juulsen nor Mete were in the warm up. May be too close to the game for Juulsen, but does it mean that Mete could not crack the line-up? That would not be that farfetch'd but I thought he could provide some offense.

I thinl they are only there to learn the ropes of the Pros.

It would be sad for someone to get scratch for a rookie after a season long battle to make playoff.

Thats the first game, they will probably play the vets first and re-adjust next game depending how it goes..

I really don't know that their defense is that good to turn their head on Juulsen if he is not injured. I never saw him as an offensive force but every level I have seen him play he was calm and responsible on the ice. It's highly unlikely they brought him there to watch; since he is on a loan from Montreal, he would probably be our first Black Ace up in Montreal if he were only there to practice with pros.

Got this on AHL Live. Really wish a broadcaster would have picked it up on TV like RDS.

Hudon makes it 1-0 on a SWEET rush by Scherbak. But it is waved off for goaltender interference. Incidental contact. So no penalty on the play. Still 0-0

Very good PK by the Caps.

Lernout just laid the body hard. Crunched the Crunch player.

PP coming up for the Caps.

Scherbak scores on the PP!!!!!!! 1-0 Ice Caps.

Missed the 2nd goal. Had to get my wife from work. The iPad has the game on and waiting for me to continue watching.

Edit: Got home just before the buzzer and got to see Terry on a breakaway and get robbed by McKenna.

Lindgren has been great so far. Also impressed with Didier on the PK, he's a beast.

From the part of the game I watched, Lernout is having a solid one as well.

Commentators just spoke about Juulsen and Mete. They said unless something drastic happens not to expect to see either of them. They said that the Habs brought them in to get acclimated to the pro level.

McKenna just robbed Hudon on a 2-on-0 with Terry.

So far, the Ice Caps are the better team.
