Lindgren freezes the puck. A Crunch player was near the crease. Lernout comes and pushes him out with a few crosschecks.

Syracuse scores on the PP to make it 2-1 for St. John's. The Caps were doing real good on the PK. But in the end, with about 23 seconds left on the PP, the Crunch make it count.

Dumont just smoked Hudon.

Also in case it wasn't posted, Lindgren named the IceCaps rookie of the year, Hanley defensemen of the year.

Scherbak with some sweet moves right before the big hit on Hudon. He should have taken the shot, instead he went to pass it to Hudon, but the Crunch defenseman broke the play with his stick and that lead to Dumont laying a big hit on Hudon.

Lindgren with a huge save. Crunch have pulled their goalie and are a man up. Ice Caps with a few unlucky bounces that lead to a shot from the slot that Lindgren stopped.

Ice Caps win Game 1. What an end there with some big saves by Lindgren and some good shot blocking by the Caps players.

Lindgren 1st star of the game, especially at the end of the game.

he is already better than Montoya I'm pretty sure there's a chance he get the spot next season but he isnt waiver eligible so they might want to keep him down for that.

I'm sure it would pay to not rush the guy.

Exactly. Absolutely no reason to rush him. I can definitely go for a Lindgren/McNiven tandem in Laval next year. And keep a close eye on the Price contract situation next year and be ready to have Lindgren be the go-to guy if things don't look good in that negotiation.

McNiven in Laval, and Fucale in the ECHL, are you sure?

You're thinking Fucale AHL and McNiven ECHL? I'm okay with that. That will be the battle in the Laval training camp.

Is it why they are starting the series on the ice of the team that had less points in regular season ?

Doesn't make much sense to me.

If Caps win tonight, Syracuse will be already 0-2 with one loss way from elimination....

It's about travel costs, that's it. Iif Syracuse wins tonight they will have three home games to win the serie. It works both ways. You rarely win a serie without winning at least one game on the opponent's ice.

Is that really a choice the team with the higher seed has?
