I would say Fetisov or Bourque, with a warm nod to Potvin, Langway, Coffey, Howe, et al.

Exactly what I clicked on this thread to say.

I began junior high in 1982 as a huge Robinson, then Langway became my fav,
but by decade's end it was clearly Bourque, who was an annual 1st team or 2nd team NHL all-star,
along with the captain of the greatest Soviet teams ever.

First half of the decade goes to Fetisov. However he lost some mobility after his 1985 car accident. Bourque for the second half of the 1980s.

It's Bourque but again these are deceiving because Robinson's and Potvin's resumes are much better if you do a 75-85 list. Heck even Bourque looks better in an 85-95 list.
