Are Malkin and Crosby by far the best duo in NHL?

ARE MALKIN AND CROSBY BY FAR THE BEST DUO IN MODERN NHL?

Or there are some better duos?

Sid - Malkin duo is called as 'Two-Headed Monster' by some Penguins fans...

They're no Ho Sang - Tavares combo.

Er, well how many "duos" are there in today's NHL?

Datsyuk is gone, so no D&Z.

Matthews has a lot of talent with him but no real identifiable partner yet.

Eichel doesn't really have a counterpart.

Benn and Seguin fell off the map pretty much.

McDavid and and Draisaitl? I'd give it a couple more years.

So you're left really with Toews and Kane, and obviously Sid and Geno fit in over the two of them.

Would you even call them a duo? They're more like a 1-2 punch. A duo would be say Kane and Panarin, or Crosby and Kunitz

Matthews and Hyman.

They're like the Sedins 2.0.

They're aren't really a duo. Right now I'd give it to McDavid and Drai

I wouldn't call them a duo. They play the same position on different lines. How much time do they spend on the ice together? A one-two punch, OK. The best ine? Yeah, easily.

Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin.

Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.

Nicklas Backstrom and Alexander Ovechkin.

And Auston Matthews and William Nylander were easily the best pair of rookies this year. Both hit 60pts+ playing their majority of games together.

If you consider them a duo, maybe.

Would still give Bergeron and Marchand the edge, but that may be a biased opinion.

If you consider them a "duo", then yeah. But that feels like a misnomer given they don't really play together. You'd think duo is more applicable to linemates. At least that's how I'd regard it.

They're not a duo: they don't play together on the same line. Furthermore, last time Malkin played close to an entire season was 2011-12. Last time he played a whole season was 2008-09.

The best duo, as in playing incredibly well at both ends of the ice is Marchand Bergeron.

The best duo isn't Crosby and Malkin. As people say, they're more of a 1-2 punch.

The best duo, of course, is Crosby/Guentzel.

LOL. That's one way to look at it. Another way would be to recognize it as the truth.

Crosby and Malkin really ARE the best duo in the NHL. By far.

They are the best, but don't count out Kucherov and Hedman.

So they're not a duo in that they're not linemates. I think of duos as Marchand/Bergeron, Stamkos/St. Louis from time past.

They're more of a 1-2 punch. And yes, they are by far the best 1-2 punch in the league.
