It was a lot tighter than the score would say, Berdych gave him quite a fight being as consistent as I've seen him play in a long time. Keeping this within 3 sets is a big win for Fed, he'll go into the final relatively fresh now and with his confidence super high.

Yeah the first two sets could've gone either way, but the third was all Roger. When he fought off 4 break points with his serve you could tell he was zoned in.

Don't you remember the "golden age" of ATP when guys like Moya, Kafelnikov, etc. held #1 overall ranking?
I Wonder : which of Moya, Kafelnikov or Rios was the worst #1 ?

I'm strongly in the "Rios" camp, and there's probably a big separation between Rios and the other two, and then another quite good one between Moya/Kafelnikov and the other tier (Muster/Safin/Ferrero... Probably Roddick as well, but he seems a little too strong for that group)

Actually, the best thing I can say about Rios is that, if there was a biopic on him, he'd be played by Danny Trejo, and it would be all sorts of awesome.

Kafelnikov won a couple grand slams , which automatically puts him above Rios. I mostly remember Rios for never being able to stay healthy after he reached number one, which ended up with him retiring young. He was number one by just staying consistently average for a long while , like Caroline Wozniacki did. If you've got zero slam titles in your resume you're a weak number one in my book.

Not only that, but Rios had a grand total of 1 Grand Slam Final. Hell, I think he had only one Grand Slam SEMI-FINAL.

Big surprise, the Als beat the odds, and the mighty Stamps 30-23 in the rain at McGill stadium. Hopefully that'll turn this team around.

Congrats Muguruza on her 1st Wimbledon title. After saving 2 set points in 1st set she went to sweep all games to get the title. Still very impressive for Williams to make the final at 37 years.

Props to Muguruza for keeping her focus and getting the job done. With that, she got rid of the ''one hit wonder'' cloud from over her head for good. Hopefully she can stay consistent now .

Well, you don't see that every day, if ever. In the 11th inning of the Yankees-Red Sox game, a groundball was hit to Mitch Moreland at first. Moreland threw to second to nail the lead runner, Matt Holliday. Holliday, who was already out at this point, turned around and tried to scurry back to first, sliding feet first into back into the base. Holliday arrived at the same time as Jacoby Ellsbury, who hit the ball, came down the first base line. The Red Sox failed to catch the ball. Initially, Ellsbury was ruled safe. The umpires called New York for a rules review. The review took nearly five minutes . The call stood, but the Red Sox protested the game.

They are in the 16th innings and still at 1-1.

Crazy game at the Fenway Park.

Roger is performing an absolute vivisection on Cilic right now. He's in mid-2000 form .

Cilic just got his serve and his spirits broken in the third set. All Fed has to do is make him play now and he'll beat himself.

Not sure if it's for this thread or the Impact one, but big soccer transfer news. Looks like Neymar is on his way to PSG (€222m release clause).
