Not sure why you'd blame Price on either one. The first is a bobble by Markov that goes straight to the slot. How the hell is that on the goalie? The 2nd one is on Benn.

People seem to confuse "stoppable" with "bad goal." It's not the same thing. When your D makes those kinds of mistakes the puck's going to go in a lot. Price was great tonight btw, it could've easily been a lot worse. The two goals he gave up were brain dead plays by his own blueliners. Not sure why you'd point to Price as the problem.

.938 save percentage tonight btw. That should be good enough for you to win. Scoring 1 goal isn't going to get you there though.

Lundqvist has reminded me of Tim Thomas circa 2011, never has any idea where the puck is but the it always ends up hitting him

Weber's good karma is coming, 3 posts in this series, at some point it has to give

Im not that worried. We got a split in NY. Time to win at home.

Pacioretty was horrid, he certainly wasn't the only player who **** the bed but he was the worst (maybe King was worse but he's a 4th liner).

The only players i liked tonight were Gallagher and Radulov up front. And even then, Radulov can't have 0 SOG as great as he is, especially when the trigger men on the lines he was on (Pacioretty and Galchenyuk) weren't playing well.

They have to figure out the Rangers trap. The habs just kept icing the puck or anytime they made a pass they would lose it right away.

But Price has been solid. It's just that the guy at the opposite end has been better. And as long as that's the case, I don't like our chances. I keep waiting for Lundqvist to crack!

Price was definitely good and good enough to win but to be the best goalie in the world, you can make that save. He hasn't stolen one this series, he had a chance tonight and let up a couple of iffy goals. Not mad at him like I am at some, but would like to see him rise up a tiny bit.

The good news is that the rangers still looked beatable even while playing their best. It might go 7, but this is the Habs series to lose. Still think they come out on top.

Not even close. He's not that good. Thomas was exceptional. We have no goal scorers who step up. It's killing this franchise, and it's why we'll likely never win a cup with this core.

12 shots in 2 periods while down a goal. They did.

We had the same problem in game 1.

Price could have an opponent sitting on his chest with a knife to his throat when a puck goes in, and there's plenty of posters who's blame him. It's life on this board.

I love how when Price gives up softie goals they're called "flukey" around here. The rags didn't even play good, Hank won the game for them. Price needs to do the same for us.

Fixed it for you. In case you didn't see him scrambling more than a few times wondering where the puck was.

This doesn't mean much. Stats are cool but I just watched the period. It was hardly "domination" from the Rangers in the third

We tied the game late in the first after a mediocre period, letting up that goal gave the momentum back to NY.

He made big saves but that was a save he needed to make, especially given the timely saves Lundqvist has been making.

It's crazy how bad the Rangers D broke down in the first, in what was seen as their best game. I'm expecting a big win at the Bell.

I think Price is better and Hank luckier. Hank drops his stick and it makes a save for him. He has allowed so much rebounds laying loose around his net he's lucky Montreal hasn't gotten to them.

You can't that much of your goaltender period. For the 2 goals he gave up, he made up 3x. You don't win games if you can't score goals, end of story. Carey Price is FAR from the problem.

Generally when you lose 2-1, it's not your goalies fault, even if two goals were softies. You need to be able to score at least 2 to win a game. Anytime the Habs lose when scoring 1 goal, it's hard to pin it on the goalie.
