Guessing this is Lombardi's job to lose, unless Pegula offers Lafontaine full control over hockey ops and he decides to come back.

Lou is pretty much living the dream right now.

Successful team filled with young studs on the upswing in hockey mecca.

Why would he leave that for Buffalo at this point in time?

I'm 50/50 if Disco gets one more chance as a head coach. I mean, I know he sucks I'm just wondering if the Cup mojo lasts a little longer at its previous level or if he'll be relegated to being an assistant now rather than a few years from now (even an assistant would be due to Cup mojo IMO, but you get what I mean).

As for Buffalo, this is a pretty good time to be needing a coach. I think there are a few solid candidates available even with Hitch taken.

After missing out on Babcock, Sabres will throw tons of $$$ at Sutter. Lombardi too.

Surprised about Murray wow. If it was the only way to get rid of Bylsma it was worth it tho. The roster is fairly attractive to a GM we have some good pieces in place to build around. You have a young 1 and 2 C, and young 1/2 Dman and a decent amount of secondary depth. Need to address the D immediately and go from there.

Great news for Sabres fans.

They should build a statue in Eichel's honour.

I'm not sure Sutter wants to coach out east.

I'm surprised with Murray. However, he tried to declare the rebuild over after drafting Eichel which just wasn't the case.

Well this appears like there was a major **** show going on behind the scenes. Jack may have just saved the franchise from itself.

That's what leaders do ... thank you Jack.

I don't know if firing Murray was the smart thing to do. Bylsma for sure, but why TM?

This is definitely impressive, but I'm not sure it's a generational house cleaning. McDavid cleaned the Oilers house before he was even drafted.

The Pegula's based on how they have handled the Bills and their GM would lead me to little confidence on selecting a good GM or coach. But with Ryan, Murray, and Bylsma all relieved of their duties. I think there is hope for Sabres fans. Liked their hiring of a new Bills coach. If they can do the same on the hockey side. The Sabres may rise again.

Will the new GM trade Eichel to afford himself a little job security?

Not thrilled Murray got axed, but if that's what it took to get Bylsma out, I'm not complaining.

Pegulas need to get a hockey pres. in place, let them work to select a gm and coach, and shoot Russ Brandon into the sun.

Great news for Sabres and their fans. Bylsma was a aweful coach. Tim Murray seemed just as stupid as MacT as soon as a mic was put in front of him.
