Incredibly shaky. Especially in OT.

Got a bright future. But let's give him a full season's worth of experience before claiming a future Norris candidate.

Karlsson pretty much name-dropped McAvoy in his post-game interview - nice endorsement.

He'll be raring to go next year. Can't wait.

Had to expect some mistakes when the kid was thrown to the wolves. He handled himself admirably. Cannot wait to see what his ceiling is.

He reminds me a lot of Carlsson on the Caps. He's going to be a real good player.

People need to tame their expectations though. The NHL is a very unforgiving league and over hyping young players can have a lasting effect.

They need to make sure to have a veteran pmd to shelter him.

I love this kid! Mad respect.

I think incredibly is a bit of an overstatement, he didn't look any shakier than anyone else on the blueline aside from maybe Killer.

An offseason training with the team......Coming off a very successful first playoff experience. I cannot wait to see this kid next season. I love the offseason **After getting over the sadness/madness of the team getting bounced and/or missing the playoffs** and hate it at the same time (because I just want the Bruins).

Very impressed with his overall performance this series. He had his share of mistakes, but get used to seeing that for at least 2 more years.. it doesn't mean he's not capable of being a top pairing franchise defender. It takes time. Very optimistic our defense going forward, which something I thought I wouldn't say anytime soon.

So proud of this kid. Mistakes are going to be there at this age no matter how much talent.

Love this player.

After reading some of the comments on Marchand and Pastrnak I wonder what his thread will look like in 3 years from now, or even by next year. Doesn't take much for the knives to come out.

Not right now, but it might surface later on. He basically praised the young guys that stood in for us, said 'especially...' and stopped himself.

They had a nice moment in the line though - something to take a look at:

The kid stepped into the NHL playoffs with 0 games under his belt and performed as a top pairing defenseman

That is simply incredible. It is just the beginning of great things to come

Gimme Krug-McAvoy pairing next year for mad puck possession. Bergy line with those two and the puck will never leave opponent's zone.

he made some real bad rookie mistakes...at times unable to get the puck out of the zone

needs to get rid some of the chubb which should help with his skating

promising future

He had a shaky OT, but i wouldn't classify as anything he did in this series as "real bad rookie mistakes".

He's not even fat...So what "chubb" does he have to get rid of?

This was his weakest game of the series and it was still pretty darn good. Exciting player.

Pastrnak better work on his one timers, Mcavoy likes teeing him up on the power play.

You can hate him during the series, but only for how ****ing good he is. He's supposedly playing injured, too.

Great guy and a generational player.

As opposing fans we're supposed to hate him during the series.

Good to see him giving kind words to mcavoy
