Burns or Stuart

Back in the 2003 draft, I was upset we didnt pick up Mark Stuart. I thought he had a lot of potential and poise. I had no clue who Burns was, but I think he's gonna be great and will have a great career. So what do you think we should have done looking back on the 2003 draft...I think Burns was a good pick.

Burns is a solid pick but if they wanted a defenseman they should have picked Stuart. Burns is constantly scratched so...that factors in too.

Good point...I'd like to see Burns on the Blueline more this season. He's got a lot of potential back there.

What is the deal with Burns (or, specifically, the team: management, coaches, etc... and their decisions) in regards to his status on the team? He's been a healthy scratch 8 times in the last 20 games -- including tonight's game and 3 of the last four.

He's amassed 2 assists during the 12 games he played in during that time. He has been a -2 in plus/minus, has 6 PiM, and taken 7 shots on goal while averaging just over 10 mins a game. Obviously, his production has been suspect and that has to have a bearing on his playing time...

What are the plans for him, long term? Stay a forward? Go back on the blueline? Is he going to cut it with the big club? Just some questions I have...

Mesjaroz. That's not even close to how you spell it, but I think you get the idea.

Meszaros...

But yeah, you're fine with Bhurnz. And I am especially fond of Gabberique and Rowlesdun.

I ended up messing up the draft years. I would have thought an Ottawa fan would have picked that up, but I guess you don't know when your own players were drafted

Meszaros...I thought was the best defenseman in the draft not named Cam Barker.

However, it was the year after Minnesota drafted Burns

we shoulda drafted meszaros instead of thelen...

One of the local papers had something about Burns being moved back to D, but made it sound like it wouldn't be before next season.

I think I can get on board with this, if Burns is actually moved back to D again. He was looking very good during his time on the blueline; if he can develop back there, I think the sky is the limit.

He is a D who can move the puck, which we sorely need

imo, he doesnt have the impact he normally would because he's playing wing, on the 4th line.

I think he got moved to the wing because 1.) Defensemen under contract 2.) he is supposed to provide some physicality to the forwards 3.) he can play wing and not be a defensive liability.

He'll be back on the blueline as soon as one of our D get shopped at the trade deadline, imo
