The way i see this... lot of time we'll see an offensif d-man and wonder if the guy could do better by focussing more on his defencif game and keep it simple for the offence side. Here we can enjoy the exercice. We see the rookie year subban, solid in defence and a good puck control wich help the attack transition but nashville havent seen his full range yet.

Subban ("second pairing") - 24:34
Josi ("top pairing") - 24:20
Ellis ("top pairing") - 23:18
Ekholm ("second pairing") - 23:14
Weber/Irwin - Less than 11:00 each

I think most people expected Subban to be on the top pair with Josi this season but they never really developed a ton of chemistry. Ekholm is a better match and we're comfortable relying almost entirely on the top 4.
Lets put it this way... a smaller slice of a big pie instead of a bigger slice of a small pie (habs)

A pie that could actualy win the cup if u know that i mean

Subban struggled at the beginning. No surprise there with the roster roulette and new environment. He's been playing better and better all the time. He's not playing the flashy offensive game many (me included) seemed to expect, but is a very solid defenseman and very good on PP.

I wouldn't put him behind Ekholm, but because of the early struggles he's still behind Ellis and Josi in my books. Once he settles in I'm confident my opinion is going to change.

Just because we value Josi and Ellis more right now, doesn't mean we wouldn't appreciate what Subban brings to this team. I think he's been great! Different than I expected, but still great.
He hasn't had to as the first series was relatively easy. Once Nashville trails, he will go beast mode and could potentially put the team on his back. He and Karlsson are the only D-men that are able to do that.

I really feel like the preds have a team to go all the way. Of course to win the cup u need some luck on ur side. But im sure that in a few years looking back we'll say that 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 was there window. Especialy this year after they sweep chicago the momentum is on their side.

Go preds go!! 3-1 win tonite!!

1st 2 periods he was dominant. Steady in the 3rd and was in on all 4 goals.

Yup. And while he wasn't outstanding in the 3rd, he was never really in trouble in his own zone, unlike the other pairings.

And he should have had an assist on the 4th goal, he was the one that started the play.

Sucks to see Fiala go down. There's not like... an outside chance he could make it in the SCF, if the team make it to?-

I seriously doubt it. He was reported to be up and walking around (on crutches, no doubt!) in the hospital and the pictures I've seen he seems in good spirits. Reports in light of such progress were a 4-6 month recovery period. I think even for a 20 year old he's done for this season.

So am I saying there's a chance? Sure.

Thanks!

Aside from that, what's the deal on Ribeiro? As a Habs fan, I know some of his antics can really disturb a locker room. But it was the mature thing for him to do by reporting to the AHL and it looks like he can produce there, even in the playoff. Any chance for a callup?

Glad he's on a team where he is appreciated...couldn't be happier for PK. He was treated like ******* by the coach and GM here for some weird reason.

He got old quickly, the Predators want a speed high pressure game and Ribs just doesn't have that anymore.
