Wanna know why Salomaki has to be in? Because of shifts like that one!
Also a pretty good hit by McLeod there in that shift. Probably his best one of the series.

I really like Parayko as a player and his offensive game. But thank goodness he's not as mean as Shea Weber or I'd dread having to face him so often as a division opponent, more than I already do.

I don't really agree at all. Blues have had some decent chances, but we're not chasing the game all that much. Tarasenko isn't going to get many better looks than he's already gotten and nothing to show for it.

Arvy and Forsberg way too cute/fine...need to be a bit more assertive.

Yeah I'd say it's been more even. Blues had some better chances early, Preds have had the better chances lately. I think each team is trying to set the tone physically, I bet there will be a few goals in the 2nd.

They're really doing a good job at limiting our defensemen's chances. That should leave space where? We gotta make adjustments.

They're inviting Neal or Forsberg to burn them from the high slot or for us to cycle the hell out of them down low. Just because we get that many points from the D doesn't mean we're completely reliant on it.

0-0 mainly because of Rinne. We need to do more offensively.

Preds playing sloppy right now. Going to have to regroup and play better in the second.

Low event hockey? Uhm, not really what I expected after all that talk about the Blues coming out firing away.
Just hope that the Preds come out more aggressive for the 2nd and 3rd. I really don't want this to go to OT. I need some sleep. Badly

Blues with a pretty good period. This one isn't going to be easy. Boys going to have to dig down deep.

Said they would start defending our defenseman up top better this game. Our forwards are going to have to realize that and start taking shots themselves rather than cycle back up to our defenseman if they are being guarded only to lose the puck or have our defenseman get blocked or lose the puck. Forwards going to need to cycle down low among themselves and have one in front to screen Allen while the other takes a shot. Hopefully they realize this and adjust accordingly. That will force Blues to have to adjust and start to defend low and then will that will open up more opportunities for our forwards to then give it to our defenseman to take better shots/slap shots.

Twenty seconds of nothing doesn't make for great TV.

It was more exciting to see Harry Z get knocked around when the puck was not dropped. I hope that ref told the Blues player that next time you do that, you are going to the box!

Just need to limit mistakes, keep skating and keep hitting. We'll make adjustments offensively. As with all series, Blues only look like they'll get goals from Tarasenko or off a deflection.

They are following the formula that worked last game. Rough em up early and then speed speed speed to tire them out. We'll see if it works again. Blues playing a little edgier for sure.

They saw how well we were cycling the puck up top to our defenseman to take slapslots/one timers and screen Allen and so adjusted in this game to defend better up top and block shots from our defenseman. Time for the Preds to adjust to what they are doing. Otherwise it's going to lead to block shots and then turn overs the other way.
