Both Lubo and Demitra score in their first game

Slovakia - Russia

I am watching this 2:2 game and both Slovakian goals so far have been scored by the Kings: Demitra and now Lubo on the powerplay. I wish Kings powerplay was as good as Slovakian.

Everyone wishes their powerplay had as much talent as the Slovaks...and the Russians and Canadians for that matter.

...

Conroy was everywhere for USA. Same for Demitra and Lubo. I did not see Fro on the ice all that much.

I was there...and what a game!
Frolov played on a line with Kozlov and Korolyuk, and they played more a checking role than an offensive one. I'll post a recap later, now I'm waaaay to tired...

I love that we have our own live correspondent!!! Russia lost and Frolov played 2 minutes?? Wow... I think I might change that little strategy a bit.

Russian coach uses Frolov like AM: only on PK and rarely on PP.

Both were great shots too. Demitra roofed one top left corner on a semi-break, and off a Demitra faceoff, Lubo lasered a bouncing puck off the post top corner.

Frolov looked like crap.

That was predictable based on team depth, the line that he's on and his own apathy. I wouldn't bet on it changing.

He didn't exactly get a lot of ice time... Plus most of the other guys played together at the Worlds last year. Fro didn't go.

That's largely why I meant that it was predictable. I knew not to expect much when I saw a few days ago the line that he was to be on. I had hoped that he'd be paired with better players to give his lazy self a kick in the pants.

I agree about his linemates. Here's to hoping that Russia will shake up their lines soon. I think that Frolov's still really young and needs a really good mentor on the Kings. I don't think he's found someone to mind-meld with yet. He needs to get more agressive & shoot the puck.

He looked like crap during the whole 2 minutes?

No just 1 minute and 50 seconds. He looked good when he was skating off the ice at the end of his shifts

Well, we can only hope that he gets better as the games go on? I was really pulling for him to have a breakout year this year, and so far...not.

True. But all of the other teams are on to his wraparound. He's predictable as hell. He needs to shoot the puck a lot more. The talent is there, he just needs to unleash it.

The issue I have with him is that he tends to over do it with his stick handling. He will deke a player or two and end up losing the puck in the process. Stop trying to show off and just shoot the puck!

If Corvo was playing the other team would have at least 3 players with hat tricks.
