No doubt, Theodore has been terrific in every single start he's had this season. He's definitely going to make those who called him the next Jim Carey on these boards look extremely foolish.

Why do you consider him to be a one year wonder? One bad year constitutes a one year wonder He had a bad season last year and he will no doubt be much better this year.

I thought watching 3 beautiful goals (well, 2 and a half) was pretty cool.
Plus an amazing goaltending display to boot

...or watching the Islanders play!

The Habs may play boring hockey (although i doubt you will find any of us complaining...i'll take a boring win any day), but the Islanders arn't exactly the most thrilling club i've seen either. About the only excitement coming from them was watching DiPietro play every puck that came within 50 feet of his crease! You just knew that sooner or later he was going to blow one!

And he did ! :p When it isn't Theodore who scores on the Isles, it's their goaltender himself who gives us the puck to net one !

As an apparent authority on moronic behavior surely you know that anyone who characterized him as a "one-year wonder" was misguided. Likewise, anyone talking smack about any player or team after 6 games is equally misguided.

He had an off year last year. Can't expect him to be perfect every year. Which is why I took a risk on him in fantasy hockey draft and I'm reaping the benefits

It's a shame the boards got erased.

I've seen some pretty moronic comments about Theodore and some posters would almost deserve to eat crow for what they've said. I'm not talking about the ones that thought that he wouldn't rebound, everyone has the right to his opinion, I'm talking about the ones that started misinformation and bashing campaign about him and were not missing an opportunity to talk trash about him (on a personal level) and jump to the conclusion he was the second coming of Carrey.

I think those posters know who they are. There's morons everywhere, why would those boards make exception?

Cuddos to Jose for showing his strong character 'til now, especially considering the difficult situation he was placed in with his family problems. He should be criticized when he's playing badly like a good portion of last year considering his big contract but he should also be praised when he contributes to the team's success which again he's more than doing right now.

1.33 GAA/.945sv.% so far I beleive... Nice.

Obviously Jose wasn't serious enough during the 02 off season. But there's no doubt in my mind that this year's Theo wouldn't have fared much better last season. The main reason why Theo is playing so well is because his teamates make him look good. He had to save their bacon tonight and on a couple other occasions but since the Ottawa game he was never left to dry. Incredible how a couple of minor moves can change things around and make everyone look better.

Hardly surprising IMHO, it's not like he came out of nowhere to surprise everyone his vezina year. He was a very good goalie even before that, it was merely one off year.

I am surprised he's done so well in consideration of all the pressure and media attention paid to him right now with his family issues etc though.

He is playing well and the whole team is playing very well limiting the number of chances the other team gets. They are playing pretty boring hockey but have nothing to be ashamed about. They are making the most of what they have.

I have no doubt JOse will be an elite, top 5 goalie for the next decade perhaps. He's got good fundamentals, and as long as he remains healthy and in good shape, there should be no reason for him falling off.

I think it's ironic how Jose plays his best hockey when Saku is not around...

It doesn't compare to Cechmanek blanking the flyers in the irony department though
