Ottawa vs Washington..

Great run and gun game by Ottawa tonight, started off slow but picked up the pace big time in the third. The schaefer-Spezza-Havlat line was together for a short while until Jacques split them up.

just a couple of observations:

Spezza with another awesome game.

Looks like Havlt hasn't skipped a beat.

The varada-bonk-hossa line was not on that much in the third, left me scratching my head.

Chara looks like he is back on track.

All in all, another dominant performance by the sens but i was hoping for another 11-5 drubbing but Jacques is too 'polite' to embarrass Washington.

For whatever reason, Martin used 14-18 as a regular PK unit in the second, and so 'used up' their ice time for the third. Nevertheless, Hossa spent the most time on ice of any Sens forward last night.

I think Martin was worried about matching the Caps' first power play unit (which includes Bondra, Lang, Jagr AND Gonchar) after the first early goal was scored.
