do we really need to post spoilers in the thread titles? why can't we just leave out the scores? that being said it is interesting to see Canada having some early trouble too.

The difference for Switzerland: Carolina's Martin Gerber in Goal.

This is a great game. Tell me again why pros shouldn't be here. Gerber is playing out of his mind right now.

But you know the Canadians aren't going to accept this loss. They're going to blame this one on the ref, but he's been calling a strict game all-around. It's just that the Canadians don't seem to realize he's not an NHL ref.

Hats off to Gerber

Wouldn't want to see Carolina in a playoff series

Awesome game, awesome upset. I turned it on at the beginning of the third and had to look closely to make sure I wasn't seeing things. 2-0 Switzerland?? Man.

Gerber > Canada

To be fair, that was a terrible call on Nash's shot that should have counted as a goal. Especially considering that ref has apparently had a previous run-in with Nash. But anyway, Canada had tons of other chances on power plays and blew it, and took a lot of dumb penalties too. Amazing game by Gerber.

True. Nash's shot was clearly over the line in Gerber's glove

Well, I believe that the hockey games are broadcast live, not on tape delay like the rest of the events. Thus, they're not really spoilers because you couldn't see them later anyway.

By the way, for anyone that's interested, USA/Slovakia is about to start!
