Renney been at Hartford?

I know there were reports from newspapers that Renney was going to attend some Wolfpack games during the Olympic break and was wondering if he has gone to any yet.

Im sure he has, I bet he'd love to get a first hand view of the players down there.

Lets not forget Renney is also a scout so he knows what he looking for when he's watching the games, that is a huge plus for our team when it comes time to call somebody up.

Fly, I love you and you have done a remarkable job in keeping board updated on NYR prospects . I know and so does everyone that you love the NYR. That being said, I cringe when I read your statement re: Tom Renney being an ex scout. Every team in league has the obligation to 1) know their own major and minor league players, and 2) every team in league has obligation to know other teams personel. Some, obviously do it better than others. Not trying to start war, just really IMO no advantage for Renney's backround. When Hitch goes to see Phantom's game does that give him advantage over NYR or NHL in general. If Schoney, Maloney, Ulf cannot convey to Renney the plus/ minus of players in Hartford, NYR are in deep trouble. Keep up good work

Renney was planning on taking his wife to a warm vacation spot.Mike Pelino and his wife were joining the Renney's on vacation. It was a five day trip.Renney and the staff will be back to work on Wednesday with the non-Olympic players.Renney probably planned his Hartford visit between the vacation and returning to work

Renney's wife and daughters still live in Canada while he lives in Westchester County,NY

Thanks RangerBoy, had a feeling you'd have the answer to this.

I've seen both Renney and Sather together at some Wolfpack games.

Sather is currently in Italy watching the hockey and praying his players are in one piece when this exhibition ends. Most of the NHL GM's are in Torino

Yeah, I saw Sather once as well. Walked by him outside the arena once.
