Have any of you other people out there been watching this kid play? Wow I watched all 3 of his games (because he's one of my fantasy goalies so I'm keeping an eye on him) but this kid is the real deal (or will be soon enough)
112 saves out of 118 shots (.956 save %) 2.00 GAA and he really has been solid for them so far. 118 shots in 3 games is quite a bit of rubber to be seing.
I just hope Eddie O. is smart enough to not overplay him, he could be a real gem.
Being a hockey fan first I'd love to see this kid become one of the next great goalies....

If you get a chance to watch a Pens game and have nothing else to do definently check it out.

he will

You can see it from the way he plays and approaches the game.
Besides it's been a while that Mario has tutored a young fellow...

I just hope Blackie recovers well from his injury. In a few years(after the strike) we'll be seeing Blackburn, DiPietro, Fleury, Brodeur all in the same division.....sweeeeeet

The only thing I'm concerned about is look at how many shots he's already faced. Keep in mind there's alot of time to ruin him too. Look at Dube :p

Man the new NHL is looking to be nice.... Stal, Nash, Kovalchuk, Gaborik, half of the sens team (ie, havlat, hossa) then you have the goaltenders, Fleury, Luongo (this kid is FINALLY showing his real stuff), Blackburn, Depietro
The new crop looks good to me

Luongo has been awesome so far, but I would say that he's been really good over the prior three seasons, with save percentages at .920, .915, and .918 respectively before this season. It's just that he hadn't had much talent around him.

Same as Giguere. although many people only noticed him last season, he'd been really good for a couple years before.
