Isaih Thomas is the freaking worst. How does Francis fit into this team at all? They already have a shoot-first point guard, don't they? They need another one? Or does Francis count as another shooting guard who's worthless without the ball in his hands?

This is getting out of hand, how can he get away with making deals like this...

At least he could of gotten a few extra basketballs in the deal, because between

Stephon Marbury
Steve Francis
Jamal Crawford
Jalen Rose
Nate Robinson
Quntel Woods

There gonna need at least 2 balls on the court to hoist up all their shots.

Don't forget Quentin Richardson, 417.

How do they do this deal without getting rid of Crawford? ROFL, just ROFLcopters...

Somewhat OT: I turned on ESPN2 last night and they were saying Iverson was almost dealt to the Nuggets. What was the deal with that?

As for this, brutal.

Isaiah Thomas is an idiot. 2 shoot first, ball dominating starting caliber PG's along with Rose, Crawford, and Richardson? Does he think this is a fantasy basketball league? Good luck with that. And were the Magic that desperate to get rid of Francis that all they got back was a spare expiring contract and a spare 20 year old?

Damn right...Francis is a cancer, Jameer Nelson, although he's hurt, is their PG of the future...he's more of a true PG than Francis is.

I heard about this deal last week as a rumour and it sounded like something Thomas would do. They should be at least interesting to watch.

During the All Star game they were talking about AI getting traded, and they said it could definitely happen. So look out for that.

Isiah sure knows how to intice a boy. I will be watching tonight just to see who takes the most shots, or if a Marbury-Francis-Rose 3 way fight breaks out over the said shots.

Man, what is he doing up there?

What an imcompetent GM, great talent evaluator though, but horrible GM...+ Francis still has 3 years left at 16 mil/yr on his deal

Oh man...tough time to be a Knicks fan

Like someone said, cancer to cancer, shooter to shooter, big contract to big contract...

I don´t see a way to get out of this for the next few season...hell Thomas, you´d better step down after that season.

It's a given that Isaiah Thomas is by far the worst GM in the league. But the real idiot is Dolan. What the hell is he thinking? How can he have a $120 million payroll, and then think that adding another 15 is a good idea?

The team is 15-37!!!! Does he really think this will put them over the top?!?!?

Oh, how it must suck to be a Knick fan.

nice move by the Magic for their rebuilding. Hardaway is gone this offseason and with him going the Magic get nearly $16 Mio cap space free.

Well at least Thomas didn't give up anything....other than that....well I really don't know what he is doing. Value-wise, its not like he lost this deal.....

Well, I could point out that all the experts thought the 1971 Knicks were crazy to trade for Earl Monroe and team him with Walt Frazier.

Unfortunately, Marbury ain't Walt and Francis ain't The Pearl. Monroe, to his credit, drastically changed his game so it could work.

Brown's wanted Marbury to move to the two guard all season. And Marbury is a better player when he has confidence in his teammates. I like the deal. They are going to be a ****** to guard. The cap in the NBA is a joke. The way you make moves is having expiring contracts; and, next year, Thomas will have both Jalen Rose and Mo Taylor coming off the books, so he'll have the flexibility to make another deal. He basically used an expiring contract (Hardaway) and a 2nd round pick (Ariza) to get a quality guard. Now, if he can get Crawford off the team, and bring back Kenyon Martin to play with Curry and Frye up front, he might have something.
