I'm going to guess that Kaspar and Toots will be wearing the gold off the plane.

For those who are pissed they are still playing instead of coming back I got some good news....Marcel Hossa is coming back early.

i hope he dont slack off, he has to work hard on the ice to be noticed. he has played better but has to remember to keep his feet moving, i wonder why players forget for them to skate u gotta move ur feet, not glide, once u glide ur more likely to get a hooking penalty.

Czech Rangers got a big boost and if they play defensively like against Slovaks (PK was just incredible!) they wil beat Sweden. So it´s going to be Russia x Czechia again but this time I guess that Russians win.

You don't think the Flyers aren't in the same position? With Forsberg and Nittymaki? Gagne got creamed and was hurt, and even though he did come back I would be surprised if he's not injured.

A lot of teams are in the same boat.

From a Rangers standpoint obviously you want everyone home sooner rather than later but at this point one day doesn't matter, and the morale boost of say the Czechs and Jagr's fragile temperament winning would be a positive thing for our team.

Went with the Russians....

I don't think their offense has even begun yet. They're just so dangerous. I think it comes to them beating the Swedes, as I have my doubts that Hnlicka will be able to advance his team against them.

I'm only going to say this once more. In 2002, the Detroit Red Wings sent 10 players to the Olympics. Those players were (age at the time):
Shanahan (32)
Yzerman (36)
Chelios (40)
Hull (38)
Hasek (37)
Lidstrom (31)
Olausson (35)
Holmstrom (29)
Federov (32)
Larionov (41)

Every player's team made the quarterfinals. Six of the 10 went on to play in the semifinals and medal games. Many people thought that the increased workload of the Olympics combined with the condensed schedule would spell doom for such a veteran-heavy roster. What happened?

Back on topic, I think Russia is going to win. They're the most complete team left right now. Sweden's defense looks bad and the Czech offense just isn't clicking. What's surprising is the lack of support for the Finns. They've been playing the best team game the entire tournament. I think Russia's firepower is going to win out in the semis, but if Finland were playing the Czechs or the Swedes in the semis, I would pick Finland for silver.

That is what i think too. What worries me is the bronze medal game with the czechs vs the finns.

I voted for Jagr and co. but wouldn't mind seeing Russia win it. These guys are pro athletes, and a few more games and some travel won't slow them down, if anything it is better that they played games. Let's see if Poti's new tan and two week lay- off helps him find his lost game.
