Forsberg looks bored out of his mind for some reason!

Hah Henrik looks like a fun guy to party with.

And free, dude that's pretty weird to say on a message board

Well if you want to check what shape he's in...(and have nothing else to do). At Newark, terminal B is the place to be, there should at least Peter Forsberg and Henrik Lundqvist arrive this afternoon (SAS flight SK903).

Henrik sure knows how to party but he also knows when it's serious business so a god nights sleep at home and meeting his teammates in practice - and he'll be fit for fight again.

I understand he wants to celebrate and he deserve it BUT, a major hangover combined with a jetlag can keep you out for about two days and he has to practice.
Like I said I understand they want to celebrate but his job is with the Rangers and he better not miss any practices because of this.

We all know what the guys real job is, but hell I say a little partying will do him good. Let off a little steam and tame the stress a bit. Those Swedish ladies look pretty fine. Good thing for him to have at it a little. Then he'll be ready to get back to work in a few days.

A little partying...

doesn't hurt...a lot of partying, nearing the home stretch and the most important stretch, while on the other side of the globe, is a different story. But hey, if NHL players are going to play in the Olympics, this is to be expected and I have no problem with it (my problem is with NHL players in the Olympics).

Oh to be a Swedish hockey hero at a party filled with Swedish women. Talk about living the life.

I wouldn't worry about Henrick, he's got a day or two to recouperate. Besides, haven't you guys ever hung out with hockey players? Every hockey player that I've met could drink me under the table and then be ready to go in the morning, they're a hardy bunch.

Look at it this way: Olympic gold is the Euro Stanley Cup. Lundqvist had more pressure than any of us really know. His country felt they had a great chance with an aging team. He had to wipe out the memories of Salt Lake City. He did as a 23 yr old. Nice to know when for a kid that has to play in New York. He has to blow off some steam or he will be a wreck come playoffs which, if the "impossible" happens, will last 2 solid pressure filled months.

They physical drain of the olympics is one thing. and they'll need rest for that, but Lundqvist is a young man, and a couple days he'll be fine.

The mental exhaustion is the tougher animal, and I would guess that celebrating it, blowing off some steam and enjoying what they've accomplished is a good way to get over it..

One would think...

that after winning the Gold and then celebrating, it would be tough getting back to work. You reached your goal. It's odd to focus on two goals within a season, no matter how focused these guys are. I'm not saying he won't get over it, as he is a focused professional athlete, but it's a tough task. A few days in practice hopefully will get him back into the game.

A Swedish blonde a night is what the doctor ordered. Wine, Women and Gold, he'll be ready to go.

Oh! To be young, single and an Olympic Gold Medalist from Sweden, partying into the wees hours with a treasure trove of natural blonde babies....

(Who's Doctor Death in the bottom corner of the seventh photo? )
