How could Montoya be #4 when he has clearly been surpassed by Chris Holt?

It's because Holt was #1, FLY forgot to include him.

They gave Holt special Double-Secret Number 1 ranking.

It kinda hurts that we could have taken Getzlaf and all of our #1 center problems would have been solved

Yup. It only becomes more apparent that taking Jessiman with our highest pick in that draft was a bonehead move.

He's currently listed as an NHL stud. He has surpassed all AHL standards.

That will be determined in time when our two young goalies have actually played more than a combined 70 some odd pro games in North America.

Getzlaf is one I've followed for years and I fear is going to haunt me longer.

That's a good question, and since I'm the guy who assembled most of this, I'll do my best to answer it.....Dawes will be on the Ones2Watch list, which will be up momentarily. IDing and grading these players has gone on since the first week of the season, and it wasn't until everything was pretty well wrapped up that Dawes really started coming on. TI-ming as they say is everything.
As to the questions about Holt, maybe his day will come, and it would be nice if it did. But he's got a bit more to prove, and it didn't help his cause that Gherson began to carry the water during Montoya's injury absences. One big factor in the rankings was this "What do the clubs really think about their own player". In other words, whose rear end is on the line if a guy tabbed sixth overall in 2004 should happen to fizzle out. To me, it seems as though Slats and Co. have a lot to lose, there, especially in light of the unfortunate failure of the Dan Blackburn pick, followed two years later by Jessiman.
It's just my take......

The thing with Holt not on the list is a joke. One guy started this thing about Holt being the Rangers future and Montoya being worth crap, as dumb as it sounds. Everyone else is being sarcastic.

Now if he'd said Gilles Villemure, I would have seen the sarcasm...but I was being polite not to mention Holt's gaa/sv pct in the ECHL, n'est ce pas?

Hell yeah. To say he's going to be a bit of a project is an understatement. "He's got a bit more to prove"...Nice tact.
