LOL Way to write Multi-Page Thread, and Page Numbers in your title.
And I'll re-state it from the GDT; Goals Huet has allowed since I started using this avatar: 0.

Huet was ok tonight. If it wasn't for him, we may not have won by such a comfortable margin.

I like it when Huet goes kamikaze on the puck. He controls the puck very well, he's so confident right now, let's hope he can keep it up until (and for) the playoffs.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/stats/by...e=NHL&sort=112

When these stats get updated tomorrow, Cristo will have a .929 Sv% (at least according to my math) and he will be the new league leader in that category reaching the 19 games played requirement

At least for this year, Huet is our man, he's gotta be, simply outstanding goaltending. I want Theo to regain form but, it's been so long since he's shown form like this, sometimes I can't believe what I see from Cristobal, here's hoping the rest of the season continues on such a high note, he's been the model of consistency so far!

I wander if on the LA forum they ever talk about how they never should of trade Huet, like we always do here about players that are gone?

I wonder what Pierre McGuire thinks about the Huet/Bonk for Garon deal now. He's been raking Gainey over the coals for it all season. At this point, there's no question about who I'd want in net.

Amen brother! Cristo

I can't get enough of this guy. I love his poise, his puck handling, his positioning, his confidence...he's just a rock back there.

What type of contract should Huet get in the offseason? (number of years/ $ amount) and should the Canadiens sign him even if Theo has a big contract like he does?

Provided Cristo wants to stay, I definitely think he should be retained. I see no reason to let a very competent netminder walk away.

I'm not sure how much he'd ask for. Obviously a pretty good raise, but hopefully Gainey won't break the bank for him over one amazing half-year.

Maybe $1.5 - $1.75M / year, on a 1 or 2 year deal?

I think a lot of the contract depends on Gainey's plan for Theodore. I do believe that trading Jose this Summer is a very realistic option.

Nope, we're actually very pleased with the way Garon's been playing as well. But I, for one, am glad he's working out for you guys

I haven't seen him this season (no CI), but the biggest knock I had against him was his lack of aggression. He played solid as a back-up, but he seemed to have worn down with the rest of the Kings as the season progressed.

Based on your follow-up sentence, I assume you mean lack of endurance and not aggression?

Cause his aggression has been great here. He comes out of his crease to make poke checks or play pucks fairly often, and actually got into a little shoving match with a player who crashed into his net last night. His endurance has also been good thus far, including 2 shutouts in 2 days before the break.

So far, Huet has been amazing. This might just be a trade that ends up working for both teams, even though we're unhappy with Radek's salary and lack of offensive production (though I'm satisfied with his overall play, personally).

the humility of Huet

''The difference tonight was Kovalev,'' Huet said. ''He's a great player who can change a game like that with his skills.''

No, Huey, the difference was YOU. But isn't it great to see this attitude? I like Huet more every game I see him play, and also every article I read with his quotes. Theo could learn something from both.

P.S. -- I want to try and challenge Shabutie, who is unquestionably the master, for best photoshopped avatar on this board... does anyone have a good idea for me to run with? I am both uncreative and dumb.

It's refreshing to see an attitude like this in today's day and age in the NHL. Huet is my hero.
